advice on suspension - Click HERE for Original Thread

j240
Hey, I'm just looking for some advice on shocks and springs for my 240, at first I was thinking coil-over, but someone told me they need lots of balancing and there's no service for that her in Edmonton, so basically i'm asking, are they hard to set by yourself? or are they even worth it? or should i go for separate shocks and springs, any imput would be welcomed.

First off, come to www.n-e-c-c.com. We can answer all of your questions there.

As for the coilover issue. Yes, you can put them and and balancing each corner is great, but if you're just everyday driving it, I don't think you would need to worry if each corner was within fragments of a unit (whatever it may be). A basic coilover unit would be all you would need.

If you don't plan on setting height differences, then just buy a set of springs, and if you want it nice and stiff, a new set of struts (dampening adjustable). Of course, everything is by preference.

Hope that helps some.
