Mozilla Firefox! - Click HERE for Original Thread

BananaBoy
I've been using FireFox instead of Inernet Explorer for the last few months and it's awsome :)

I used to get over 40 spy/mal wear entries every week. Now I get 5 or 6 a month. I use both Adaware and Spybot.

Check it out, it's free:bthumbup:

ChromeDragon
I actually just downloaded it earlier today because I've been having some severe Spyware problems.........I mean locking up my computer and raping my hard drive severe. I fucking hate these assholes making spyware, I really just want to beat anyone who makes something to intentionally fuck up another person's computer.

about goddamn time this browser started catching on... there's tons of cross-platform, free open souce software out there.

(note: i tried it for a while but still stick with safari for speed; then again my primary computer is an apple laptop so i'm immune to most the BS everyone complains about)

ChromeDragon
I did have it a couple years back but I didn't really get into using it back then, this current version rules. Quite a bit like Safari with the tab browsing system, and I've been able to use it to kill my spyware problem. Fuck did IE let alot of shit through!

SplineZ
IE is gross. ive been using firefox since it was released..

I used to use opera, but theres no advantage now.. specially if they want you to pay for it..

There are still some issues about firefox i dont like, so my default browser is STILL IE...

Have you guys checked out the plugins? like mouse gestures and stuff?

i've been using it since version 0.4. Actually i always tried to avoid IE, jsut cuz i hate it ahha. but had to use it when Netscape didnt update their browser from 4.6 for the longest time and not to mention that verstions between 4.6-7 really sucked.

Started with NS 7.0, then found out about firefox and switched to that, less bloated than NS. Havent had a need to use IE, cept for when i update my windows.

I used some of hte plug ins for firefox, mainly to enhance my tab browsing. Tried the mouse gestures, but i got enough buttons on my mouse to what i need without the gestures.

Holy crap I switched about a week ago for the same reasons as Chromey. I should have done it sooner. Fuck IE sucks for letting shit through.

Mozilla Firefox I love you!

Nightstalker
I love fireforx, with the gestural plug ins it can work wonders.

Whats that?

Z3r03rr0r
the mouse gestures it is covered in one of the help files for it I am sure, I can't really explain it overly well right now being tired and all

Adam @ Apex
so when you get this firefox do you delete or uninstall explorer?

I'm a computer idiot so forgive my ignorance!!

and where would someone find this firefox?

2003specv
You keep IE because Windows uses it for automatic updates. As I understand anyway.

When you first fire up Mozilla it will ask if you want it to be your default browser, click yes and all is good. It will even copy your bookmarks from IE to Firefox,

As for where to find it, do a Google search it's a free program so you should be able to find it anywhere.

Adam @ Apex
Awesome...thanks.

Maybe I'll give it a try.

scooby_dooby
ya this browser rocks, i really like the tabs too, now I can surf like 8 sites at once with only one window open,

it looks like IE FINALLY has some competition, according to CNN firefox is already at a 9% marketshare, although as a web designer the last thing i need is ANOTHER browser to have to etst in, but so far firefox seems to render everything really well.
