If I was in town, I'd lend a hand Jeff.

Someone should take some pic's for the scrapbook...

mike3
WTF! i thought you were doing it next weekend?

mike3
So did you do it or are we still doing it next weekend or whatever?

IDTrav
ive got this whole weekend off (fri, sat, sun) and ill be pretty broke after paying for these new carbs so i would definetly be free to give you a hand and learn some shit too :D

ive been ragging my dad for the engine hoist so hopefully i'll be able to get that some time this week and pull the motor this weekend. you guys should come by the g-grage some time, its been party after party friday and saturday for the past couple weeks hahaha. we got steve-o's 240 in there now too - hes dropping an sr20 in his

i think team work on ppls cars is awsome..saves everyone money...gets hands on and you can learn..

i want to do as much on my car this spring as humanly possible im willing to let my car be the guinie pig of the club ill put in the dough and a hand in what needs done.

IDTrav
defintely ben, thats what i like about the EPC. everyone gets along and shows interest towards each others cars. ive been stuck a few times with my car and not once have i ever been left behind or forgotten :D

92_WhItE_H23
yea no kidding..if i had a garage itd be edmontons busiest tuning shop cuz id be in there all day everyday...i cant wait to move. as for now i gotta stick with doin my work on the driveway in the dirt in summer ahha

if you are doing it this weekend jeff i can proly lend a hand on fridday night or sunday. im busy sat.

BTW- EPC should have a sponsor car. One that actually shows off who sponsors us. a car we can take to the meets and show what kind of support the club has outside of just its immediate members. one that all the members put a hand in building and just make it nuts.

IDTrav
yeah jeff - when do u wanna do this? fri sat or sun?

mike3
Jeff called me tonight...hes already put the new clutch in...and yeah its cool when we work together on cars...its fun + saves money!

IDTrav
you haven't had fun working on cars till you've experienced the G-rage.....

...now fully furnished with heaters, posters, chairs, munchies and most importantly a full line of tools :D

mike3
That looks like its pretty sweet Trav

2ndgenlude
if you get your hoist trav i can help you pull your engine. i wouldn't mind seeing why mines running rich either. also needs a oil change lol

jeff92lude

This is a great idea but the logistics of this would make it very difficult. I think the 2 biggest problems would be money & ownership.

Even if we were to buy a car, who's name would be on the ownership, who would keep the car, what about insurance?

If the club was to sponsor someones car, then the owner of that car would get all kinds of free stuff or invested money. What happens when that person get's into an accident or the person decides to sell it. Then all those people that invested time & money are left with nothing. What about mechanical problems or servicing, who would be responsible for the bill?

I really like the idea of having a project car and I think it would be great for the club as well as it's members but the logistics of it almost make it impossible...

I'm open to comments and feedback...

mike3
I agree with DArcy with the whole get a group car thing...it would be fun, but so many things to go wrong

92_WhItE_H23
yea i never thought of that...well maybe just more group involved work...not necessarily give someone all the deals...just something we can take to a show and say the group did this and not just "this is my car" kinda thing. like i said id be willing to pony any dough for parts but instead of usual meet after meet doing same old every now and again we can have a garage day kinda thing i dunno..just wanna get a little more involved then just meeting on fridays and talkin BS

mike3
Yeah, that would be pretty fun to do...i see your point ben

I like the weekly friday night meets. I like hangin out and chewin the fat, go for a rip around town, hit up BP's for some food and nice cold beers.

Mind you, having an install day once a month or a weekly garage meet would be cool too. I like the idea of helping each other out with our cars...

I tried hosting install days before but there was no interest, especially if it was at my place.

Something to consider for next year.

Also, if the whole weekly friday night meet/cruise is getting boring for some of you, then why don't we do other things. I'm open to suggestions...

mike3
I like the weekly friday meets, i always look forward to them from the saturday after...I think it would be sweet if we kept doing them but once in a while doing instalkl stuff on like a saturday or something...its cool if you can't figure something out yourself another club member can help out
