I am on the outskirts of town so its a bit slower for me out here.
Still better than DSL though. |

1.2 cause DSL is capped if u have normal DSL , however once again DSL never said it was faster then shaw downloadin, however it is more consitant and will pump 1.2 all day long where saw will not pump its high numbers all day long.
Also ADSL has a better upload then shaw, so if you play FPS or ping games DSL > Cable its tried tested and true through CS and Quake and so forth. Either way if u have good DSL or Cable u are fine . |

Yeah, mine sucks.... I guess the faster modem is the cable one? Im actually using an internal modem right now.....not some router :dunno: Im in the dark ages with that lol..... I wonder if i can get it any faster if i switch to a router? Anyone know? |

Internal ADSL modem? ouch... i feel for you.. those thigs are AWFUL.. you cant switch to a router.. the phone cord goes into your computer directly.. where would the router sit? :)

I dont get it, i cant change it? I thoguht u could jsut by a router and get service that way? I think you'd have to buy a different PCI card or whatever though... |
