Kerry Concedes. Bush Wins. Is this good or bad? - Click HERE for Original Thread

snugs
Kerry is to concede around lunch time. GWB is in for another 4 years.

So is this a good thing, or a bad thing?

silverTEG
good for the beef industry

Good for Canada, bad for the world. Kerry would have botched the last half of the war by pulling out early or dropping resources to the point of dragging the war out twice as long. You don't switch leadership durring a war. Kerry doesn't give a damn about trade with us, but does care about our relationship with the states.

I'd still like to see some crazy hippie put some lead in his noggin though. (Bush that is)

Actually, our dollar hasn't gone up a cent in the world market. It's just the USD has dropped.

Why would somebody want to shoot Bush in the place where its likely to do the least damage?

Hmm, maybe it'll be McCain/Schwarzenegger vs Hillary/Kerry vs Ventura/Anybody in 08.

The only bad thing I see is more whining and ranting from the rejected and dejected.

Ha Republicans hold power in the White House, Senate, House. Looks like a one way street

POX
the democrats didnt realy expect to win this thing when they put Kerry as there canadite, he was only realy there as a place holder, they only though they had a chance recnetly when the fuck ups in iraq started to show

The down side to that is that Dubya isn't going to have anyone to blame anything on now. 911 is long gone as an excuse, and laying his problems at Clinton's feet won't work for this term either.

I wonder what the next scapegoat will be. :)

You have it all wrong, the real downside is more liberal pantywaists moving to Canada from the US to escape

BUSHWORLD!!!

Yes. I don't wish death on anyone. Though I do believe a world without dubya is a better world. :dunno:

I'd believe it. I don't think they even know the rest of the country is here. ;)

Just one of the many reasons that I feel Canada is safe from American aggression. Even if Cheney did convince George that we had oil up here he'd probably screw up and order the marines to invade Mexico instead. :p

Dunno about that, but there is a big section of the 911 report that they wouldn't release until after the election, Halliburton is under an even heavier investigation, and there is stuff coming out about some of the voting machines used in their election.

LOL, I'd bet that Kerry's almost relieved that he lost.

DeathBy240
Yeah as much as I would like to see him get sniped, that would mean the Dick would bump up to be President. And THAT is a scary thought.

All Kerry needed was 13x,xxx votes.

Something tells me W. will have a tough time in DC these days. They voted 90% for Kerry, 9% Bush.

ChromeDragon
I give the world 2 and 1/2 years before the bombs start flying. Just wait.

2012, Canada goes back to war with the US, 200 years after the last time.

I know if I was sent with gun in hand to be in support of Bush's invasion of Iraq, especially if I knew guys were coming home in bodybags 'en masse for no good reason, I'd be pissed.

Once some of the more unstable guys get stateside, I think that Georgie is gonna need full body armour on whenever he steps out the door. The unfortunate part is that the White House spin doctors will twist it so that the shooter was actually Al Queda, Taliban or someone like that, and that they now need to bomb some new marginally stable country like Iran or Libya. The "war" on terror will continue...

The problem right now is that there's no one to reign in the US. And George W ain't gonna do it himself.

my 0.02 (but at least now it's worth more compared to the US buck) :)

LOL, I just read a article the other day discussing the powers that be behind the US/World admin and 2012 was the year ballparked for the next world war. Iran arms itself, tensions rise between them and Israel, the US does something inexplicable stupid (Ya'll got any more WMDs?) and KABOOM!

You guys seeing any of these reports coming in about the e-voting stuff in the US? Looks like it'll be worse than Florida last time.

MR240
this reallly pisses me off

i know american's are stupid scared mother fuckers..and thats why a lot of them voted for bush.. but did they even bother looking at Bush's domestic policies compared to Kerry's?? did they base the vote entirely on this foreign bull shit going on? how stupid are these people?

Also, if they are scared that almost makes sense, but can't they think about it..I mean 9/11 happened shortly after bush came into power...heres the thing..terrorists don't specifically hate america...they kind of hate BUSH. all kerry had to say in regards to the security of the country, is that bush is a magnet for these kind of people, which makes sense

If you put bush in a room with several doors..and he is checking behind each of the doors for weapons..or lets say a tiger...a normal person would open the door and be like oh shit a tiger..bush would feed it, come back later and poke it with a stick.
Do we have to talk like that to get voters to understand?

You'd be amazed at the level of ignorance and stupidity of the U.S. public.

After the fact it had determined that Iraq had NO WMD's as confirmed by the U.S. admin, an overwhelming 60+% beleived Iraq still had WMD's. I just don't understand who stupid or intentionally ignorant one can be? :dunno:

No, really..the majority of American's that voted for bush are exactly what I said.

Did any of you guys see the statistics? The majority of people that voted Bush, were uneducated, seniors, from alabama and other hick towns, etc, etc..

oldraven
Again...

i know american's are stupid scared mother fuckers..and thats why a lot of them voted for bush..

You didn't just reffer to those who voted for Bush, you were refferencing all Americans. Don't you hate seeing snide remarks by Americans about how hokey and simple Canadians are? What you said was just as bad, but worse.

Back to the subject though. Lots coming out about the e-voting stuff in the US, looks like the election was hacked and the exit polls were accurate.

What do you guys think of the theory that Kerry purposely lost, so that Hilory Clinton can run and have a good chance of being president in 2008?

i think judging from this election Americans are more conservative now than they've ever been, i think the chances of them electing a female are about 0.

snugs where're you getting this stuff? i've seen nothing on CNN or google about this....

Its all over most of the indy media sites. Just do some google searches.

These guys are pretty legit and have been researching the whole e-voting thing for quite a while now. The site kind of sucks though.

There's lots of this kind of stuff all over the net right now.

ya i don't get this e-voting, why would they make it completely digital, when SOO easily be changed, one little number and there's absolutely no way do a recount? It's begging to be abused.

I don't understand why they wouldn't do something like a cash register where a reciept is printed out for every transaction, hidden from the user, and at the end they have this paper record for a recount, but the digital record for quick counting.

The reason for not doing that is aragance on the part of the manufacuters, they went down one path and will not accpet any other ideas
