Gotta love 350z's. That was my second choice(first was a 2nd gen eclipse).

If they slapped a pair of turbos on the car it would make all the domestic guys go home and cry.. I am sure thats why they never sold cars like the skyline here.. Ford and GM likley paid them huge money to keep them in japan...

lol

WTF are you talking about? haha I doubt GM and Ford paid anything.

And why would people go home and cry if it had twin turbos??

Not everyone is a 100% pro domestic lover like you seem to be a 100% pro import owner. Most people like both even if they prefer one over the other. I think it would be great if they sold a 350Z with twin turbos, but unfortunately it would probably sell for 70 grand.

Nightstalker
I was just joking man, I know why the skyline was never sold here. But if you use the Greddy TT 350z as a example of what the car could be, that would be one hot car..

I wonder if that motor will find it's way into the G35?...

There has always been one thing that really, REALLY bothered me about the motor... The way the exhaust sounds...

Maybe it's in the tuning or whathave you, but it sounds like a poorly modified 4 cylinder. An odd buzz that gets people turning their heads not because they are stunned, but annoyed.

I've always loved the way straight 6's sound, just beautiful, whether on the Supra, or the Skyline, they just inspire.

The new V6 does absolutly nothing for me. I wonder with the new tuning comes a different exhaust note...

oldraven
I think that has a lot to do with these new variable timed multi vavle heads. Not so much the configuration. Domestic V6's just don't buzz. Not performance oriented ones, at any rate.

Actually, first I should find out if the Z's got VVT.

*edit*
Ok, yeah, I was right. CVTCS (continually variable valve timing control system) Wow. Guess all the cool abbr. were taken.

I've heard that just simply replacing the factory exhaust with a different catback (like Borla or Stillen) does wonders to improve the sound of the 350Z. But I'm no expert on the Z33 generation.

i dont mind the sound of the 350Z or G35 stock, it at least has a distinctive sound as apposed to any other car in the price range

We just put a 4" exhaust on our new project Skyline and I couldn't agree with you more.
