| I Wouldn't consider it a rice thing for something like this whereas it's trying to bring more people to the community. It's not like sticking on NOS stickers all over a car that doesn't have NOS. or anything else done at all. I am not a sticker fan myself I had 2 and took them off because I didn't like them but if it's something that will bring more people here to increase the community to have more fun I am sure to do it. |

- Only 780Tuners sponsors can produce and sell 780Tuners.com decals.
- 50% of proceeds must come back to 780Tuners.com
Proceeds will go towards site maintanence or 780Tuners events. |

Sponsors can give decals out for free if they like.
We had a problem with someone looking to produce 780Tuner decals for profit in the past. |

| Once I bought the plotter I would cut them out for the cost of the vinyl. I would not be looking for profit on this. However I am not a sponsor so I guess that won't be happening. |

| well i am not a sponsor but i could work something out if they wanted. I already have a 36" plotter as i do custom graphics (vehicle and other as is). so if anyone in the orginization is intrested in i scratch your back kind of a deal let me know. |

no no, more so what happens one some moron gets busted with a 780tuners.com stick on there car? for liek street racing, drifting or stunting or (doin a donut in the middle of jasper ave lol ;) )? one cop will let the oh there copknow to look for cars with this sticker cause they migth be up to no good and then "WE" as a community get a bad name because of one person mistake ?
having a sticker that is a group identifing IMO is bad idea just because someone migth wreck it for the rest of us

| Why would you put a decal on your car? I mean, I rep shops that have done something for me, like Apex provides me with awesome service all the time and thats why their decal is on my ride. But what has 780Tuners ever done for any of you? They provide a board for you to post on and charge you for all of the events. Why would it be worth it? |

I agree. If someone told me I wasn't aloud to put a sticker on my car for free advertising I think I would be kinda pissed about it. Well not really pissed but like wtf. I understand if you have 1 post and you never post or come on but if you come on here and have a few post and you continue to come then I see nothing wrong with it. And if the money is comming back to the board as well it is always a good thing to keep it up and running. This site has been useful for me so far and really kills time sometimes. |

Sounds like a lot of fun. But there is a lot of behind-the-scenes work that has to happen to make this project work. We need to find someone or a business to print these stickers for cheap/free. We need to determine places to give them out and/or people to give them out. If it costs money to print which it probably will because nobody will want to do it for free, we need to raise funds for them and/or determine a price. Probably a lot of other details I forgot to mention.
Let's not forget about all the comments in this thread about stickers and their downfalls/shortcomings.
Hopefully we can get it going though. |

Why don't we buy them to support the board. So say $10 for a set and then whatever it cost to make them all goes to the person who makes them and the rest comes back to 780tuners.
btw $10 was a price off my head not sure what it cost to make and distribute them. |

So what's the plan? I guess the first step is deciding on who will produce the stickers, where they will be sold, who they will be sold to, how the profit from these stickers will be spent (50% has to go to 780tuners.com I believe), and how the money for the whole operation will be raised. Once we iron out the major details we can decide on a contemporary logo design and maybe put up a poll to let the board decide.
Any suggestions on these aspects? |

I not sure. I just starting out so I don't really know prices all to well. But I am sure it would be less than $10 and if it ends up being like $5 then have the rest go into 780tuners to keep this site going. |

| I dont understand why people selling should have to give any money to 780tuners. The person selling should sell them to cover there costs. I mean people are putting these stickers on their car to promote 780's to the unknowing people, so in return 780's will get more members and more people out to there events due to more people knowing about the club. 780's doesn't deserve a penny, if they want to make some stickers and sell them then go for it. I completly agree with you. But because people are not sponsors of 780's then they can't advertise that they are selling things on here for profit. So if someone advertises to sell for profit on here then they get banned / suspended or whatever therefore everyone hail down to 780's :bowdown:
I like this board and wouldn't really want to see it go away and I know because they don't get any profit from sticker they won't shut down but eh that is business. 780's is a business. It's not here just so people can post up and what not. |

In the mean time, we are going with suggestions in putting together another design contest for a logo. We hope to have this ready for submissions by Dec 15. Decals will be available at sponsor locations by Spring 05.

And the part about someone getting pulled over for racing, and the cops seeing 780tuners.com stickers... I don't think that most police officers are dumb enough to assume that since one bad apple visits a forum, that all the members of that forum are bad apples too.
If they're curious enough, they may even visit the site and SEE that we actually have a Law Enforcement section, and the street racing is hated upon by most board members.
