Grand Am club? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Markgase2000
I dont see a Grand Am club here , how many grand am owners are members in this forum? If I recognize some of your rides can I approach you in person and have a peek at your machines?
Please dont reply if you do not like or own Grand Am's , thanks.

They meet every afternoon at the local Safeway with their two year olds in tow.

uuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmm

how about

NONE!!!

I believe the only other RELATIVELY active GrandAm owner on this forum is NeoBlueGASE-99

he seemed to have left a sour taste in some people's mouths but I guess they just can't let small things go

as for a GrandAm club, I see plenty of ppl driving/modding GrandAms, maybe see if there's the possibility of starting a club up???

I would imagine it will involve more "in person" recruitment rather than off this forum. Check around on some other local forums, possibly other local domestic forums?
They may have better info/leads for yah :)

Thanks Terry , as cheesy as some of my posts may seem to some of you I would apretiate that when I post about a topic like this I am not looking for banter or stupid comments about the club or why you think there should'nt be one. Its not like I tell you all your cars suck Im pretty sure I can find a million things about them that do but then again I can finds something on anything if I felt like it. But I dont so I would apretiate the same in return.
I was treating this as a dead post untill one fella suggested I go look a "Safeway" and then another useless comment. I know I am ranting but its a simple matter of respect.

Agreed, it's something that we all have to work on, especially on this forum.
But I think we're getting better as a whole :)

Ya when I first read it I thought it was funny too but its off topic. Now I am aware that there is no club and honestly it does'nt really matter cus' I like all sort's of car's and am in the unique position to test out many different makes and models on a daily basis.

I judge by my own personal opinion's. I make critisism that can be constructive and positive even though I may not like it much. There are many reasons why cars are made many purposes they serve to us. I like to find out what those purposes are and what value they could have for different people and different need's. I've test driven many cars alot of higher end machine's that are comparable to some low end and vice/versa.

I am very fond of the manufacturer I work for (Ford). Like Honda and other big name manufacturer's they prove to be very innovative , creative and unique. But theres so many machines out there that wow and impress me on a daily basis.

Personal prefference should'nt get the best of us it spoils things. <----- Rant
M.III representing in the hood ya'll mean. and that.

u olso have to understand that in a forum like this, there is no accountability. thats why sometimes there are comments like these, that u would'nt normally hear in person. i know that im not even talkin about cars ,but rather good morals and right conduct. Olso keep in mind that good morals in a person is a dying trait. it seems like no one practices good traits anymore.:dunno:

peace out

Markis
To above poster well put.

But instead of limiting your scope, why not do a Pontiac club? Include GTP's in it maybe. PM Genki, as he helps run the local GTP club.

kane
Do you mean Grand Am or Grand Ma club. because really who is proud of a Grand Am.:dunno:

Wow look it has a pushrod V6 and the technology of a hammer and chisel. Hell if you droped a couple of Grand Am's over in Iraq they would cheer upgrade.

clapbak
straight up assholes..

SaabKraft
i agree with a pontiac club in general, grand prix's, etc. probably have more fun there.

nothing wrong with pushrods, read in evo that you get a little more low end torque with them compared to a camshaft valve system. plus i'm a little retrotrash, so can appreciate old stuff, like 500 hp chevy small blocks.

good luck and let us know if something happens :)

Buddy, I hope you come out to a meet some time. I'm sure there are a lot of us who would love to have a chat with you. punk.

And did you seriously just bad mouth a Pontiac for being low tech, VW minibus man? You are what's wrong with the scene.

Tact really is a dying trend.

Markgase2000
lmao I found a grand am club and they hate me more than most of you guys! rofl I like 780 tuners much better than all the other clubs i joined cus its local and more interactive. I just gotta learn that not every ones the same and to take things as they come. I learned that hear and yes Im 27 and it took me this long. Not associating with riff-raff is new to me and I dont consider you guys "riff-raff"

No and if there was one I wouldnt fit in there from what I learned the grand am clubs have strict rules and guidlines one of them is your cars gotta have store baught crap on it in order to fit in the club. If there was a pud pulling emoticon I would be using it right now but instead I think that this one will suffice for now. http://www.honda-tech.com/zeroavatar/95855
I guess since the GA club has little to no recognition they need to only include members who spend money on the bling bling type mods off the shelf. I guess most of you notice Im a "hacker" or a "DIY" mods kinda guy and those ga owners just scoffed me right on my first post. Piss on GA clubs 780 is diverse and accepted me for who I am.

 some of you wonder why I drive a Grandma , I sometimes wonder that too. Its cheap and alot faster than most sport compacts of the same era its just big and clumsy looking and throws you off thinkin this ride can be fast or cool. Its mine and I put alot of work into it experiments if you will. Each time I do something to it it becomes mine even more. As for the misconseption that these cars really arent fast lets find out Ill race anything win or lose I have a good attitude :)

There I testified sorry to bring it back (60+days)

Drifter Inferno
Hey instead of a grand am club what about a pontiac club.

Billy
Actually, since you started posting here, I've seen more and more Grand Am's that are lowered w/rims, and exhaust etc.... Coincidence? Maybe. Maybe not.
