| Hey guys im planning on doing an engine swap sometime this spring/summer and im getting all confused with OBDII and OBDI. Some people have been saying things like i'll need new injectors if I have obd1 with an h22. Some people said i'll need the key with the chip from that prelude for it to run through an obd2. Is everything just plug n play? and what are the differences with obd1 and 2 |

| All H22a1's have the same size injectors. The only reason you'll be needing new injectors if you get a H22a4. If you get a '96 motor you won't need new injectors. You won't need the chip for the immobilizer. But for moddability I'd go with an OBD1 anyways. |

| i hear obd 1 responds a lot better with mods and is easier to tune. obd2 can be a bitch. or so ive heard |

One does not respond to mods any better than the other.
And its not any easier or harder to tune obd2 vs obd1. |

it will not RESPOND better, but its believed you won't be able to keep your gains after a while with obd2. But a luder I know in Calgary did the obd2 workaround, and actually lost 30whp after a while. It wasn't until he undid the workaround until he got the power back.
And as far as tuning goes, a tune is a tune is a tune. No car is going to be easier or harder. If you know how to do it, you can do any car.
The problem with obd2 is that you cannot run a chipped ECU with it (Hondata, Uberdata). Not so much its high skill requirement. |

you guys and all your ECU BS :p
J/K...i'll have my hands full trying to remember 16 different tuning adjustments on each carb. |
