Anti-lag system - Click HERE for Original Thread

Found this neat article on the anti-lag system on WRC cars, I always wondered what that bang sound was whenever the drivers let off the throttle.

Turbo-anti Lag System

Its pretty cool, sounds cool too but soooo harsh on the exhaust system! I was discussing with a buddy of mine and told me it added an additional 45 bhp, right....the ALS in a nutshell is there to keep the turbo spinning so when you get on the throttle again reduces the turbo lag and gives you an optimal boost out of corners or on the start. Still if I had the money to replace the exhaust system all the time I'd have one! So in the future if you want to locate me just listen for the bang.
