Hey dudes,

I'm in the market to buy one, since I can charge off kms for a 4x4. I need just basic offroad capabilities so I'm sure this would work fine.

I'm interested in in for the tunability / power given my other SUV options..

In any case, I recall a gent who has one here (perhaps the guy with an Isuzu as well - damn I gotta quit lurking so much lol).

Just gonna ask where you bought it and if you'd recommend that dealer again. As well general feedback on the machine.

Second turbo machine on the way I hope..

Thanks fellas..

Had this machine for about 1.5yrs now and I just love it!!! No problems with it at all (with the exception of you can go through tires pretty fast :D ). Great versatility seats 5 comfortably, loads of cargo room, and power to boot.

Got it from Centaur Subaru on McLeod Tr. in Calgary, from an absolutely outstanding salesman, his name is Huburt, last name I belive is Koung or something similar to that. He no longer works at Centaur but moved to Charles English Subaru on Barlow Tr. last I heard. Centaur is great but Huburt impressed me so much that I wouldn't hesitate to buy a vehicle from him at Charles English. I think it's a rarity when you can say something like that about a car salesman.

This should go without saying but make sure you get the 5sp, there is a pretty big difference in acceleration between the two. I've heard of guys chaning out the intercooler for the STi one and uping the boost level to 14psi or so (runs 11.5 stock) and getting close to STi power out of it. Just remeber when they give you the specs for the car from Subaru they are 'derated', they claim 210hp, go dyno it and I guarantee you'll see around 230 or so, they also claim 0-60 in 6.1s (if I recall correctly), in reality it does it in a little over 5s. And the best part of it all is pulling up next to riced out Civics who think they are hot shit and blowing them out of the water with 3 people in your car haha.

I say test drvie the car and go from there but I doubt you won't buy it after you drive it. (the ECU on the car is very adaptive so if you've had a bunch of people driving like wimps before you it may feel slower then you expect, just wail on it for a while). PM me if you have any other specific questions I'd be happy to anwser them. If your experience is anything like min you won't regret the purchase I guarantee it.

PS - 4 wheel burnouts are key, but ti takes some practice to do properly :D

Thanks for the response. Sounds great. Indeed it will be the 5 speed.

I've been shopping mods already, and between that and the SRT4 in the family, the ass should stay firmly planted in the seat with boost lol..
