WTF :banghead:
I checked out tiretrends, I'm just hoping to find them somewhere locally and in stock. |

| tiretrends.com might as well be considered local, they will ship in a matter of days TO YOUR DOOR, and the service/prices make it worth while. |

I have a buddy that put some of those on his car and they disapeared in like 10,000KM's
I know, he wasn't driving like a grandma, but niether will you, so check into it. |

I got mine from Tirewarehouse on 178th.
I put about 25,000km on 512's last summer and I have about half the tread left. I drove to Ft Mac (400km) almost every week, average spead about 130km and lots of passing. No grandma driving here.
I find they are a very good tire for the price. |

If your buddys car is dropped, tell him to get his camber/toe checked out. I wasted a set of 2 in a matter of a month($500 down the fucking drain!) because of improper camber. I got camber kits installed and aligned all the way around and the second set has lasted me over 6 months and the tread is still probably near 80%, but now I'm looking for another 2 tires to replace the first set I ruined which I put on the back to get me through the summer.

Yeah, his is off.
they still went really quickly though.
I had some cooper cobra zhp01's on my last car and camber was about 2 degrees off. I still got at least 40,000KM's on them, that's pretty good. I suppose his car has alot more power though.
How did you like them when your camber was corrected? |

The only issue I have with using tiretrends.com is finding a local place to mount and balance the tires for a reasonable price. Most places that I've checked out want near $50 per tire for 225/40/R18's. |

OUCH!!
That's a bit of a rip off! |

| I agree. After lots of shopping around, I found the savings from Tiretrends to are minimal after you factor in the cost of proper mount and balance. |

I suppose if you are buying rims and tires so they are already mounted and balanced then it's not to bad a price. But for just tires, I agree, after all is said and done you may end up paying more, and having to wait for the shipping too.
Let us know what you find, I am also curious who will have some good prices for the tires including mounting and balancing.
My buddy that bought these tires, got them at Kaltire. He payed about $170 per tire for 235/45/R17. Not to bad, but not great either. They do back them up with the usual road-side asistance, and free flat repair. And I think Falcon has a 50,000KM warranty or something like that, on them. |

It felt totally different. The car stuck to the ground, cornered like crazy, and kept the tread :p |

Your price for the tires are correct but they do not have 50,000km warranty on them. I just went in today for pricing on those same tire sizes. |

Has anyone ever thought of buying off of E-Bay? They have alot on there in different sizes and styles, for good pricing. I would never buy a used tire off of there, but there are some good brand name NEW tires.
Maybe it's too risky, I don't know. I have never bought anything off of E-Bay. But tell us if you've ever tried it and had good luck with buying tires on E-Bay. |

| I bought my rims of ebay and looked around for tires. I wouldn't get used off the net and when you buy them off ebay, you still have to find a shop to mount and balance the tires for cheap. I still have my eyes open though |

| Kaltire has them backordered right now. |

^^Which location.
I went to the 170th location and they had 235/45 R17, Falken GRB FK-451 for $880 for everything.
Some cheaper comparable tires that they have are the 235/45 R17, Federal SS595. $691 for everything but the rims
Does anyone have Fusions ZRi's? Is there a warranty with those. I went to their website and it seemed that there was one. |

| I have 2 Falken'z ZE512's on backorder for me at Kaltire on 170st. |

On E-bay right now there is a set of 4 pereli's, 235/45/R17, NEW, and with shipping etc. I estimate getting them for under $600. Most tire shops should mount all 4 for under $100. That's still a couple hundred less then new from a local dealership. There are some other ones on there to for good prices. Some used, but some are new, in sets of 4 or 2 depending what you need.
I'm guessing SILVIAS13 only needs 2.
So anyone ever tried tires off of E-Bay? |

Cool. Thanks for the heards up. Actually, I will be putting them on my truck and will need 4 tires. The cheapest around here I have found Z rated tires, is $691 for the Federals. Just got prices for Fusions and they were about the same price but have better tread wear. I still dont know what to get...:drama: |
