speakers cut out - Click HERE for Original Thread

DC5PWR
Well, I drove over a train track last night, and it ripped the amp off my sub box.. tearing the remote wire out.

ALL of my speakers cut out including subs.

I re attached the remote wire, and the subs and amp are working fine, but the rest of my speakers are still dead.

My amp is a mono block, so I dont understand why the speakers would die, seeing how the amp is only powering the sub.

I figure a fuse, but dont know why the fuse would have blown?

any feedback would be great.

that is wierd... it doesnt sound like a fuse.. if it were a fuse your deck wouldnt work. or if ur amp fuse blew ur sub wouldnt work. check your speaker wire connections make sure something didnt come undone.

That is really odd. I'd hope that the remote wire coming out wouldn't send a surge back and cook your deck.

Maybe check your wiring harness connection on the deck, it's possible that it slid out a bit?:dunno:

I also have a factory amp under the passenger seat.... I think It may be the amp fuse? I'll have to look.

well, turns out it was just a fuse called "bose".. so i guess my deck/speakers run on a different fuse. Replaced it with my heated seats fuse for now and everythings working fine..

your car probably has the Bose stereo and when the remote wire pulled out if probably shorted out, and is on the same line as your factosy amp.
