Hey folks!
I'd like to announce that my buddy and me are going to shop up on friday, of course if it doesnt snow, at the UC for a meet at around 9:00pm
we're going to bring some JDM cars, some real nice rides.

| see the point is that we(the company) dont drive the cars that we sell, especially RIPPING around the city, its illigal. if customer buys the car, we encourage them to go to the bud park to the drag strip, thats what taylor did in the fall with me. plus i dont see how u car street race on the bumpy roads of edmonton, i can barely drive 60km/hr with all of the holes on the road, not talking about killnig myself flying over them, im a wuss to drive on the streets fast, never got a ticket, and dont want one, thank you!:beer: |

1) If Bud Park isn't even open, what is the purpose in telling people to go there? If people are told to go to a drag strip that is closed, they will take their racing elsewhere (i.e. the streets). Therefore, it is useless to give advice that doesn't help/work. You might as well be honest and tell ppl to wait until Bud Park opens or to tell them to attend some of the winter/spring autocrosses.
Is that more clear now?
2) Stay on topic. This thread is not about street racing, it is not about people's interest in JDM cars nor someone's business in importing JDM cars. It is a thread about a meet on March 18th.

I was trying to be helpful when I originally said "Bring it to Bud Park". Forgive me, I should've said "SAVE it for Bud Park" to imply waiting for a future time, because some might not be able to figure out from the season schedule that its not yet open. :rolleyes:

| What are you talking about the majority of the cars are DSMs? There are occasionally Talons/Eclipses out there, but they are never the majority of the cars. Usually it's a mix of Hondas, Nissans, Toyotas with a sprinkling of DSMs and domestics. |

look i mean no disrespect to the majority of you guys. and being that i try to get out to as many meets as i can, some of u will know i'm really not a bad guy. but once i read through most of this thread i got quite mad, these guys got a lotta of hype built for this meet and should be thanked not have shots taken at them.
since there's snow on the ground, u wont's see me out there this weekend. but i'll be out next week.

Newbies come to the meet all excited and pumped up, and then get a huge slap in the face and then the bad word gets in the crowd, people dont want to show up/ read the forum because they know that all they're gonig to get in response is some lame joke or some mean comment. I was there 10 minutes before 9 and waited with the black mustang and talked until quarter after, I went up to Jasper Ave, drove by BP's and then went home down Stony Plain. |
