| Had to wake up early to finish some work at school, on the way to school my exhaust made a funny sound for a couple seconds. Then there is a loud scraping sound and really shitty sounding exhaust. If anyone has seen my exhaust they can understand why I wasn't too shocked. But I got out of the car and looked under, exhaust was fine. I stand up and about five feet behind my car is my Tial wastegate and half of my O2 housing. The O2 housing was professionally welded and it doesn't look like the dump caught on anything. I don't know what the hell happened, but if you hear my car sounding like shit, this is why. Hopefully I can fix it by the weekend. |

| well when i was following you on the whitemud last weekend, when you were going over bumps, your muffler was scraping the ground and shooting sparks all over the place:blink: |

| It wasn't my muffler, I have a 3" turbo back exhaust. Over big bumps the piping would rub, but all it did was give it flat spots. With my car at that ride height the exhaust is about 2" off the ground. I am expecting that part to wear out eventually, then I'll reroute it. But I was shocked to see my wastegate on the road. |

| It's gonna be pretty hard to blow the turbo. I have a 3" O2 housing with the wastegate off of it. All that happens is the turbo doesn't boost at all. It's not fun. |

Perhaps the impact is sent throughout the exhaust system, combined with the metal being hot weakened it to the point that it failed at the welds over a long period of time? |

Get some 1/16 (I'd even overkill it with 1/8) stainless plate, put a curve in it and weld it to your exhaust where it bottoms out. No worries about rubbing through. Or maybe bring the car up a bit.
Any pics of the busted parts? I'd like to see where the weld broke. I'm curious how "proffesional" it was welded. |

| I'll try to take a couple pictures of it. I'm going to fix it and keep an eye on it. The turbo setup is from Forced Performance, but it's not their cast O2 housing. Welding it back together won't be that hard, but my wastegate is beat to shit and I don't have money for a new one. Hopefully it holds up. |

I helped him make the exhaust and it is pretty rediculous how close to the ground it is. As soon as I get my car on the road we are going to make a new one using a GSX gas tank, that way it can go straght back and sit higher up. |

| All fixed, it only took seven hours. We'll see how long it lasts this time. |
