Xx D-MAN xX
For all those that are interested in becoming a participating member of the EPC Show Team, a meeting has been planned:

Date: Sunday March 27, 2005
Time: 11:00am
Location: Second Cup, 13445 97 Street Northwest, Edmonton

Directions can be found HERE

This meeting has been planned to discuss with Mark (V8less) the upcoming show season with V8less/DTP and local car clubs. We'll discuss everything from car criteria, display, group registration & discounts, and the covetted car club competition.

In addition, we'll discuss amongst ourselves the selection of the EPC Show Team, display ideas, promotion, etc...

So, I know this is taking place on Easter Sunday but please make your best effort in attending...

i hope i can make it darcy i am moving and the car should be done by then

Xx D-MAN xX
Matt, you don't need to bring your lude?

This meeting should only last about an hour. So, I can't see why everyone shouldn't be able to make it, unless your in church or something. Heck, I'm driving down from Fort McMurray for the sole purpose of attending this meeting so if I can drive 5 hours, I think most people in the city can drive a mere 1/2 hour or so...

redwall177
well what if i want to show my lude lol well just see how much unpacking i have done

Shady_Pro
ya my lude won't be done....haha i donno what kinda turn out were gonna get on easter though...i know that wasn't your idea darcy its ok..but ya ill be there

Xx D-MAN xX
Mark will be bringing the group registration forms for DTP Calgary (may 28th). So, be prepared to sign up and make the registration payment (not sure what the cost is).

Also, pre-registration is available for SCN Calgary (june 11). Early bird deadline is April 15th so we might as well do that one too...

2ndgenlude
no guarentees since its easter and all haha, what a shitty day, especially since i got 2 sisters that still hunt for eggs, but w/e

i probably will be able to make it, depends when we can get all the easter stuff over with

Shady_Pro
darcy is it just guys who are interested on being on the show team or whoever can make it?:dunno:

2ndgenlude
i believe its for everyone, to get everyones opinions on who should be representing.

Xx D-MAN xX
This meeting is basically for the people who are interested in being part of the EPC show team, those that will be showing their cars at some of the upcoming shows.

Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting since we could use everyones comments, suggestions and feedback on what kind of team and display we want to put together. Also, volunteers are needed to help with roll-in, display set-up, tear down, and manning the booth, etc...

I'm looking to put together a standardized team of committed people to do the show circuit. We will establish a display that will remain the same for each show. If we do all the planning before hand, then there will be less work to do before each show, especially if it's the same from show to show.

There are already pre-registrations for the first 2 shows so the early we can put the team together, the better off we will be by show time...

I will have the registration information for both the V8less/DTP and SCN shows available to fill out. Payment will need to be made in advance so bring some cash...

I'm trying to get everyone involved in this so it's just not me doing all the planning, contacting everyone, and making all the decisions...

Shady_Pro
darcy is it the 27th or 17th...

Xx D-MAN xX
It's the 27th...

Doesn't look like too many people are interested in attending this meeting. I don't know why I even bother trying to get club members involved...

92_WhItE_H23
i would go but rite now my car isnt even street ready let alone show ready... the rust is like cancer on my car and once i get the new quarters in its goin to the body shop then ill think about shows =D

Shady_Pro
its not about having your car out it...its about making a plan and getting all the questoins answer now for the people who are interested in having there car in shows this summer...i don't think darcy is expecting everyone (or anyone) to have there prelude there...

i think its an awesome idea to get together and make a plan and get everything put together...i mean theres alotta nice preludes in this club and we could make some really good showing's...i geuss if your not serious about having your car in the shows this year then don't come out....but if you are, car ready or not...then get your ass's out and help darcy out a little bit here...one person can't keep a club together and moving forward it takes everyone involed so get your shit together and put in some effort:bthumbup:

Xx D-MAN xX
Well said Dylan.

I just want anyone that is even considering showing their prelude at any shows this summer to come out to the meeting. I want everyones involvment and input into this years plan.

I'm sure there will be alot of questions, especially for those that have yet to attend a real car show, and this is the platform to ask your questions and get your answers.

I will also have some of the early car show registrations on hand for people to fill out. This is so we can get the early bird group registration price, which saves people money...

PS. I don't expect anyone to be driving your prelude to the meeting so don't think you can't come if your car is not ready... I'll be driving the Festiva...

2ndgenlude
darcy, im in, its going to be tough being easter and all, but i have no reason to miss this haha.see you there:cool:

Shady_Pro
also i think there are a few newbies around that have some good looking cars...its a good chance for you to come out and ask some questions..

92_WhItE_H23
true enough...my point just was i am not even sure if im going to be fixing my prelude...if i cant pick up the quarter panels i need then im scrapping the lude project and moving on. im not going to get involved into planning if im not even sure if im going to make any of them.. if i sell the lude it may be a month or two maybe even 3 before i pick up my next lude..by that time i could be SOL.

underdog 23
hey Darcy , i might drop by, this might be my only chance to meet u guys since nobody really knew me yet. except you. trust me u met me already. at least thats my excuse for coming. i olso need to buy epc stickers from u anyway, REPRESENT u know what i mean. i might olso try to bring couple of my buddies who own ludes. hopefully they'll be convince to join the club. one of my buddy i think is somewhat show calibre but not as good as manhunter. he might be interested to join the show team.

Shady_Pro
ps your car doesn't ahve to look like erics to be in a show lol...maybe a magizine

underdog 23
i understand your point. i guess im still under the impression that you're car must be sick in order to get in. but i know its not like that.

2ndgenlude
in my own opinion, i think it would be a good idea to have maybe 1 or 2 cars that are semi stock, or close to, because that tells onlookers that you don't need to have a done up show quality car to be able to join the club.

Shady_Pro
i donno about that one

2ndgenlude
maybe im wrong, maybe it would just be a good idea have a movie playing instead, of the meets and what not. just throwing out some suggestions. i just see it as a guy walking past our booth and seeing nice, cars done up, and he has a rusty old prelude outside (like me last year) probably thinks he doesn't have a chance in joining. but we can't have an old rusty car in a show booth hahaha. i just know i was skeptical of joining with my car last year, sorta stuck out like a sore thumb.

We'll leave that to the V8less Sport Compact Challenges were it's all about the quantity not the quality. Those events are more of a fun event anyways.

The EPC Show Team isn't about trailer queens by any means. Yes, Eric's car is sick but your car doesn't have to be of that caliber to participate in the show team. It just needs to meet some of the criteria as pervioulsy mentioned.

Yes, I'm sure there are quite a few newbies that maybe interested in this so it's a perfect time for them to come out and ask some questions.

I will have decals on hand and it would be a good time to pay your membership fee and order any apparel too...

Shady_Pro
darcy i geuss thats when ill have to grab those clothes off you hands...don't forget that stuff either :)

IDTrav
i'll try to make it but i'll most likely have to work :dunno:

Park across the street at the mall. There is covered parking:bthumbup:

Shady_Pro
darcy if more people aren't gonna get out to this it might be pointless and it might have to be done another day because its gonna be pointless

mike3
I think there will be enough of us there.

Xx D-MAN xX
Whom ever can make it will make it.

I will post the outcome of our meeting and discussions on our forum, as well as, send it to everyone via email.

The one thing I wanted everyone to get are the registration forms. I was hoping to get everyone registered and payed up for DTP Calgary and SCN Calgary shows this weekend so that we can take advantage of the early bird specials (discounted registration, free t-shirt, etc...). Doesn't look like that's gonna happen.

I have no choice but to have the meeting this upcoming weekend. I probably won't be back for another 3 weeks and by that time it will be the middle of april. Not much time for planning when the first show would be a little more than a month away...

If people are serious, they will make their best effort to participate in our meeting , discussions and decision making...

Shady_Pro
fair enough:dunno:

Shady_Pro
tomorrow....bump

2ndgenlude
see you all there

Xx D-MAN xX
To everyone that made it out to our first EPC show team meeting, thank you very much.

I know it was a bad choice on my part making it easter sunday of all days but it was really the only day I could make it.

Once again , thank you for making the time or pissing off your family members to come out.

I'll be posting and email our discussions form the meeting shortly.

The next EPC show team meeting will be in 2 weeks, probably saturday april 9th.
