BlueTurboEGG
It's like it teases you, then BAM!, here's a few weeks worth of snow and cold... :dunno:

blown_mr2
Yeah, the snow sucks. But you gotta put everything into perspective, it's only the middle of March.

Insomniac
The night I buy a new car with 235/40/17 Z rated tires it snows.

Oh well, I did drive it last week on the test drive.

Mekanik22

lol, my winter tires are 235/40/17s.... but they're not Z rated. :(

oldraven
The snow doesn't bother me so much. It's the fools who can't drive in it and get in a wreck on the Whitemud in the morning and make me 1/2 hour late for work.

:stickpoke

Yup, that peeves me.

Kris_B
And environment Canada says chance of fluries for the next 5 days.

energie
bah! i didn't feel like driving this morning so i took the bus.

rexxrally
Didn't we have this conversation in another thread somewhere? I have yet to see a year in Edmonton where it didn't snow (signficantly) in April or May. And we're not even there yet! So, we're still going to get more next month. So, don't bother with the Z-rated tires just yet....

notaturbotalon
Everyone needs to start letting thier cars idle more often, take out your cats, burn leaded fuel, whatever it takes, bring on the global warming.

On the down side, we're driving in low traction weather again.

On the up side, we're driving in low traction weather again. As long as it doesn't stick around too long I'm ok with it. Just means I can slide my car around again without frying my winter tires.

B-Wurm :D

Snowboarding!!!

That's how I entered my parking stall this morning.:D

SilverNeonRacer
heh.. at the bottom of really steep hill I slid through a stop sign, I was going slow enough ABS didn't kick in, but I yanked the e-brake to make sure i ended up inthe parking lane... there where no cars though.. lucky me. had I not e-braked i prolly woulda just nosed into the right hand driving lane... but ya know if a logging truck was passing that woulda sucked.

ehos
It always snows in March. What year has it been snow free?

Definition of reality:
the state of being actual or real; "the reality of his situation slowly dawned on him"

energie
F@ck this!!!

BlueTurboEGG
Ok, this morning was stupid, I mean, last night I almost wiped out twice, and that was walking to my mailbox!

Today, people driving like 10kms/h @#$%! stay home!. They can't see the lines so they drive all the @#$%ing over the place!! STAY HOME!.

GRAH!!, MORONS ALL OF THEM!.

You you you stupid weather!, stop teasing us already!...

Buddyworm
Man, this weather is rediculous. Bloody graters haven't been out yet either. No salt/gravel, nothin. Just slippery ass snow and people driving like gerriatrics.

B-Wurm :D

SilverZ24
Actually, I was surprised and thought the roads were not too bad this morning. I was on the whitemud just after 7 am this morning and traffic was moving at about 75 km/h which seemed about right for the conditions.

I am glad I didn't have to drive my Cavalier this morning though because the snow is quite deep in my cresent. Got to love the ground clearence and traction in the Explorer though. :D

midnite
i was snowplowing all the way to work!

This snow is pissing me off. First night it snows (last Tuesday) my friend loses control of her car, car stops and another car hits her. She died instantly and then her boyfriend a good friend is in hospital still on life support (was on the news and in papers lots). Then I had to take the rims back off my car on wed morning. Then it's just been cold. Then today walking across a cross walk at nait some stupid fuck in a sunfire is just flying up the road. You can still hear his car accelerating because of the lawnmower sounding exhaust and a van stops to let the people walk across the cross walk. This dumb fuck loses control of his car and can't stop it starts going side ways right towards so I turn and boot it back to the side I started on. I wish you had of smoked the curb and I shouldn't have moved should have let you hit me then I could of sued his ass. So if he is on here FUCK YOU learn to drive. And now this day is just stupid cause we are still going to get more snow. eff.
sorry for the rant. Haven't had a great past week. and the snow is to contribute for everything.

POX
It tock me an 1 and 1/2 to get from Castledowns to Univeristy:mad:
By the time i get to school the only class that i was wanting to go to only had 10mins left in it

energie
man, i was on my way home was driving like 40, then all of sudden my lane like vanished, there was like alittle over a foot of snow infront of me so i had to drive through it, it dropped my speed down to 15. then i saw people pointing and laughing, so i gave them the finger.

oldraven
Everyone complaining about people driving too slow. Would you rather they drive the usual speed and have a billion wrecks in the city? Or just drive faster.... into your car. I can handle an extra hour to get to work. It's better than the alternative.

9 times out of 10, Edmonton drivers go to fast for the conditions, and end up causing pile ups and gridlock for hours. This is a nice change. Keep it up Edmonton. Slow down for bad weather, and keep my body panels straight for another day.

Today is a day for Kepoch.

Altezza
So yeah shoveling the driveway should be fun damnit theres a drift on my driveway almost 3 feet deep ugh. :banghead:

SilverNeonRacer
heh we got about 7" all over the place here.... quite fun.. out plows don't plow.. they hold the blade about 2.5" above the pavement and sprinkle a sand/salt mixture and turn everything to slush... which is worse than the snow.

Altezza
yeah then when it freezes its ice i hate that

Do you know what the streets would look like in the summer if they put the blade on the asphault?

They scrape the highways down to the pavement no probs... I've seen them scrape the roads before... the bottom of the blades on the snow plows are designed to wear down rather than rip up the road.
