Selling my '97 Sunfire SE.
261,xxx Km's
Automatic
2.2L OHV
Green
2-door
Base model, recent work includes new headgasket, exhaust gasket, valve cover gasket, head bolts all done @ 239,xxx Km's. Newer tires w/ aprox 70% all around. New drums in back, machined rotors up front last year. New muffler last year, new flex pipe last month. New Eliminator battery last year. Newer windsheild with one rock chip.
Car is currently not running, and needs the following. Fuel pump seems to be dead, as I have checked all fuses and relays, connections etc. Requires you to drop the tank to replace... not too hard, but time consuming. Also two of the injectors are leaking around their seals, bottom feed style, easy to replace with a little know how. Shocks and struts are servicable, but shocks do knock and it's a bit soft all around, very drivable though.
Other than that the car is a strong runner. Usual infamous 2.2l gm engine tapping, but everything was good last time the head was off. Consumes almost exactly 1 litre of of oil every 7500 km's... I've always run 5w-30 Mobil 1. I imagine it would use even less running regular oil.
Has a K&N filter, Silverstar bulbs, wired for subs. Interior is very clean, no rips/burns/cracks. Paint is good, usual door dings light scratches. One good dent in pasenger side behind door, paint still intact.
Car was stolen last month, and there was $2700 in repairs, so new rear clip, molding, all new locks/ignition. Car was fine before, now it needs some TLC, and I haven't the room or time to repair it.
Asking $1200obo
Pics up late hopefully |

Just as a side note - I've fixed quite a few of those rear shocks until I figured out what was wrong.
The shocks knock like crazy, even only 10K later. The easiest fix I found was used shocks out of a 2003 Cavalier. In the 3 cars I've put them in, the knock has yet to come back (And two of those had a knock within 10K of replacing the shocks). |

| That's good info, I wish I knew that before! The knocking was never so bad that I felt I had to replace the shocks, as they have always been like that since I bought the vehicle in '99. |
