worst jobs you have had? - Click HERE for Original Thread

c.f.169
today i was driving down 137ave, noticing a sing moving. it was pretty windy out. and i think advertising for Little Caesars Pizza, has to be one of the worst jobs out there. my worst job i had was at walmart. There I was the cart collector haha. glad im outa there. what has been some of your worst jobs?

I used to fuel trucks out next to Clover Bar dump. They'd fill huge dykes full of human waste, add some shit to it, then they'd fill trucks and go blast it all over nearby fields. My job was to fuel up the trucks comming in. The stink was only bad if the wind was blowing the right way.

It had it's perks though. It paid $10/hr under the table which was great money in high school, and I could get alot of sleep between trucks.

And if you're concerned about shit on fields, any field that has human shit sprayed on it can't be used for anything that humans consume for 7 years or something. It was nasty shit haha literally. I got some of that shit on my calf once, and I had a scab there for like 2 months.

I worked in a horse stable for two years back in high school, not much to do there other than what you're thinking about.

My summer job last year was digging holes in the ground for atco. They were moving meters from the inside of houses to outside, so 2-5 holes need to be dug per yard then fill them back up when everything was done. Fun stuff.

Nis24O
Lubex. Shadiest place you could ever work for.

energie
Bus boy at Tony Romas at west-ed, good money but just a degrading feeling cleaning tables.

Ugh, try doing it from 5 till 12 and having school the next day. Horrible I tell you! If it wasn't for one of the cooks showing me how to cut corners like crazy I never would have survived. Not to mention the floor felt like it was covered in a thin layer of bacon grease:blink:

My worst was working for a Rogers store. They had me in an actual store for a couple weeks, then made me work in their head offices, where they treated me horribly, never let me take lunch, made me stay later, gave me all this work to do without showing me how to operate the systems I needed to learn and I got paid really crappy.
I lasted at the head office for about a week.

How many years back was that. 3~4. Plus it was more the tech end as well as the company.

Angry customers, buggy release of product. = Getting a new job.

Markgase2000
I spent a fall picking rocks behind a tractor in dusty fields man my snot was mud and blood.
I was also a telemarketer , pretty good at it too untill payday and the place was closed down with no boss handing out checks.

Imprezzme_STi
Vector Marketing....Direct sales isn't my thing, seriously if the consumer is ready to buy they'll come to you...plus consumers don't need to spend money on a $1000 worth set of knives that they'll only use here and then.....

you guys had candy dishes! lol

i got fired, because i needed to fix my integra, when the axle was going, so i missed a day of work.

this was after working there for 1 year, so i threatened to take them to the labour board, and all of a sudden they forgot about it lool, and "re-hired" me.

Then i quit after i wasnt getting enough surveys complete.

Fuckin shit hole place.

I worked at consumer contact for about a week. Trying to get some money together for my engine swap. I planned to work there for a month or so but it was so horribly boring, repetative, and annoying that I had to quit.

But I also worked as a cook in a restaurant in Manitoba, and it sucked ass. Stunk all the time and always rushed. But when I moved back here I was a cook on the Edmonton Queen and it was amazing. Busy for an hour or two a day. Got a roast beef or turkey buffet dinner every night. Sat around 50% of the day. Got paid $10/hr and lots of overtime.

I went to one of their seminars in first year. I will not work for someone who asks money from me up front. As soon as they asked I walked out.

My worst job was cleaning gasoline tank trailers. Paid shit. I spent 11 hour days scrubbing and spraying those bastards. Most of the work is above your head, so imagine scrubbing something with your arms raised for hours at a time.

Sport chek is another place I've worked and felt like I was being treated like crap.

JustinL
Actually, one of the best jobs I had was at fastrack in west ed. for a summer. If only it payed better I could have afforded to work there longer. It had other drawbacks, but getting good on the karts was the ultimate perk.

i will never work retail again.

I just think direct sales is the worst job out there, the kind of people I've met through direct sales are all show. No integrity at all, you force people to buy stuff that they honestly don't need, large scale sales like auto dealerships are a different story though but just typically straight commission sales make people lose their integrity, can you look at yourself in the mirror after you sold a $1000 set of knives to a family that needs that $1000 to go into something else rather than stupid impulse items? Investment my ass....

Casanova
I would have to say a handjob is the worst job evar
