I hope you realize that it doesn't matter if you get a clifford, a compustar, a quinn, or even the club that acts as a taser - your car can still be stolen if someone wants it.
That being said - most people seem to favour CompuStars on here, and I would recommend GarageWorks from what I've seen myself and heard from others. I've yet to hear a negative comment on them on the board... |

| Yea, I understand that.....but im looking for a remote that would vibrate , or beep if someones touching or near my car..I know it won't prevent my car from being stolen. |

A CompuStar will do all that and more (Including a turbo timer if you need).
500-600 installed typically... |

I dont think there is an alarm that will tell you if someone is near your car. |

i walked by a mustang the other day and it started beeping, so i think that could be sent to a remote somehow. |

Im sure that it was just the owner pressing a button on the remote or something. if that were true then every single time a car drove by that thing would go off....kinda anoying |

| No , the car doesnt beep whenever someone goes by it, the remote does. Ive heard from people clifford does that, it jsut has sensors that tell you if theres an objecgt near your car, and if here is, a dot appears. |

On the compustar system if the car has a small impact depending on the sensitivity of the alarm setup it could be a tap on the windshild or it could be a loud exhaust the car will beep a couple times and flash it's lights and it will also send a signal to the remote which will vibrate and beep like 3 times a weird sounding thing. Whereas if the car was being broken into a hard enough impact or a door being open then the alarm would sound, lights would flash and it would send a signal to the remote telling you if the door was opened or if it was from a vibration that made the alarm activate. In both cases the remote beeps and vibrates. This is the compustar 2ws8000fm or something like that. White remote newest model. in my personal opinion I think this is the best alarm system out there. It has other options as well as it can be a turbo timer like trevorK said and it is a remote starter, also has a remote pageing system so that when somebody knocks on the sensor placed on your front window then it will page you and tell you someone is pageing you from your car.(this I do not have installed because of the annoyance it could potentially be haveing people knock on your window all the time). I have heard many good things about Garage Works just did a friends of mine car and he is really happy for the compustar alarm system. However I had mine installed at Xplosive Audio in Red Deer.
Hope that sums everything up for you?
EDIT: re read yours again....
but This doesn't tell you if someone is near the vehicle as I don't think it should cause that would become very annoying as well. Think about how many people walk by drive by park by your car in a day
oh and this alarm also has a 6000ft said to be range.... Not so much when around objects.
