Healey Ford is trying to take your balls, man. The estimates are $39G US, so $75G is gouging too much.

But not on a Shelby.
park it and have it as a sunday driver and the value goes up
The problem is, Ford plans to make as many as people will buy, so this is going to be an extremely common car. Exclusiviy is pretty much non-existant, without a limited produciton run. These aren't going to be worth much in ten years.
nothing can beat the original but still prob lots of fun to drive
It's actually the most potent Mustang ever built, and should make quick work of an original GT500. |

With the extra weight and inferior chassis, I see it hanging with a Base C6, but not killing it.
Altezza, I see what you're getting at. I'd much rather have an original as well. :) And the GN is a king. |

From what I've seen so far, the new C6's are hanging with pulley swapped 04's, so the new cobra should smoke them... although the new Z06 will be another story.
They've got this new one at 450/450, but that's got to be underrated and the modability of this thing should be unreal. I can't wait to see what it will put down with 14lbs of boost.
The only downside is the price, I can see Healy jacking it up, but mid60's to 70 is what I would expect, and there shouldn't be any worries about seeing these things all over the place, I drive my car almost every day and I've seen a total of 3 other cobras on the streets in the last year. :) |

| I think the C6 Z06 will still be superior to the new GT500. The 7.0L LS7 is the largest engine that has been in a corvette since the old 427 (427 cubic inches = 7.0L). With 500Hp and 495 lb ft. tq. the new Z06 is a monster! Not to take anything away from the new mustang its one hot car and i'd love to own one, but if i'm droping that much cash i'd rather spend it on a C6 then a retro 'stang. |

No contest. We're comparing the base C6 vette with the LS2. (400hp 400ft/lbs 3175lbs) (450-500hp 450ft/lbs 3700lbs)
The Z06 is Ford GT/Viper/911 turbo territory. |

Nah, I can't see them anymore either so the server is probably just swamped. The thread I linked to is where they are anyway. :dunno: |
