| I worked at a mink ranch that supplies pelts to companies for companies like that. Short lives in a 1 foot by 3 foot long cage. They are so stressed from living like that they can have a heart attack at anytime. Sick indeed yes very sick. I was a pelter/trimmer by the way. |

| I guess I forgot to mention my father and my older brother hunt deer. They skin the deer and remove the fatty tissue (fleshing) it is very disgusting. |

See I have no problem skinning, field dressing, and cutting the head off a deer. If it was half alive I would have a VERY big problem.

Because when they make leather they kill the cow with a steel bolt fired into the back of their heads. They don't get their heads smashed into the ground repeatedly. And if they don't die right away, they don't start hacking them to bits.

I was doing okay until they got to the chopping off the feet/legs part while the animal was still alive obvisously. After that my Easter supper wasn't sitting to well..

I watched a guy rip a turkey in half by stepping on its wings and pulling its feet. It was alive and I think that guy was a little disturbed cus he enjoyed that too much.
I have done alot of hunting with alot of different yahoo hunters and seen many stupid uneccessary things. Hunting is not a sport to me but a way to get food that you cant buy in safeway. Skinning , tanning and pelting does'nt bother me nor field dressing or caping. I also do my own butchering. The grossest thing was when I shot a coyote with my 30-30 and it exploded :( I did not intend on that happening I would much rather have the pelt intact.
I aint bin huntin in a few years I dont got the time. |
