for those interested in starting to motorcycle, i recommend this bike... i would use it as a beginners bike.
I bought my 95 Katana for $3300, with 15300km on it, and that is a steal of a deal. The Katana is the lowest of lows for sport bikes, they sell brand new for about 8g. To see a Honda CBR for the price of $3500 is a really good deal, and I'm not kidding at all.
If you would rather have the $3500 for the bike rather than a trade, I'd just be a bit more patient, the bike is worth what you are asking. It may have been dropped, but almost every bike has, its not something that many people that have biked for awhile really are concerned with in buying a cheaper bike, expecially one that is 11 years old. You say that it got inspected, if it passed the inspection I've got nothing to say as for the reasons why it has a new tail on it, because it couldn't have done much at all.
You should also quote the price of the tire that you put on there, many people are not aware of the extensive price of bike tires....
I personally would be interested in purchasing the bike, but I've already purchased mine last year and it'll do me for a few more seasons. I only wanted to come on here and maybe help out your sale, or maybe get you to raise the price a little bit, you might be lowballing yourself.
