A good port and polish by an experience professional is worth is.

A port and polish by someone who picks up his die grinder and understands nothing of cylinder head design could actually make you lose horsepower.

There are some guys at Campbells that really know what they're doing....

i know of a place where you can get port/polish done for cheap....4 cyl i think can get done for 170 and 6 cyl can get done for 230...not sure but you will have to check...and to the name of the place...lol...i really dont remember but i will get back to you on that asap...sorry, but hope the prices help abit...are they any good?

you might want to check with EC automotive.

consider an extrude hone. talk to blaine, im sure he can hook you up with good pricing, and some flowbench results. you might want to consider gasketmatching as well. p+p can do as much damage as good if done incorrectly.

Precisely - which is why you should be going to someone who builds engine professional to get a P & P done.

As for extrude hone, I'd say dollar for dollar, a good P & P will beat it. It might be worth it on a drag car, but on a street driven car I don't think there's enough of an increase to justify the cost (I think it's around 800-1000 for a 4 cyl with alum. heads)

my hone was like 500 dollars, with the assembley of my valvetrain, decking, etc so it wasnt to bad. id like to find the flowbench results, but i dont know where they are. come to think of it i think blaine still has it....

That's definetely a lot better price than I thought - on their website they charge a lot more, and is US dollars....
