Deck Problems - Click HERE for Original Thread

DC5PWR
So, Im cruising down 97th tonight, and my deck brings up the text "UPDATE?" and it starts flashing.. So i have the choice of yes or no, so i figured.. uhmm maybe its updating the memory for the cd to skip over a scratch or something so click yes.

Now It flashes "UPDATING" and wont let me do anything.. It stays at the same volume, wont let me change tracks or take the cd out.. I tried powering it all down and retrying.. no luck

The deck is the Alpine 9833 and I have no clue so Im asking here..

Any help would be appreciated.

There's no changes to it when you disconnect the battery? Does your deck have any type of security code, it may have been asking you to update that code.

Yea just unplug battery or unplug deck and plug it back in. That should reset everything to default.

Theres a little button on the deck that you can press that will reset everything instead of unplugging the batt i have an alpine too.
