My car is givin me problems...So I have taken it to a shop I took it to crappy tire!! - Click HERE for Original Thread

Hi all!!!......Say happy Birthday......Well thank you :)
I am having a very pissy morning with my car and I just need to type a rant down so I can calm down a bit cause man O man am I rageing.
So this is how it started.....last weekend I was having some starting problems with my car, I would shut it off to go into a place and when I come back out and turn the key my car would not start ...it would fire up for a sec till it ran all the fuel outa the line and fuel rail, and I would have to turn the key on and off a 100 times till I heard the fuel pump kick in and and then it would go.
I tryed to figure out what was going on and concluded that it was ether my fuel pump or my ignition switch but leaned towards the ignition switch.
So saturday afternoon I went to crappy tire to price out someparts and well It did not start at all when I tryed to leave so I just left it sitting there till monday morning and for the first time ever I booked it in at the shop and told them to find the problem and fix it cause I was stumped and just needed to get it going cause I can't have my car down for to long.
So like I thought it was the switch and they replaced it and had my car going that day and did a good job of it.....infact I was impressed!
So this morning I get outa my rig and goto my car toss my shit in sit down and turn the key......it won't fire up BAH!! ...Now I was a bit low on gas and had planed to get some first thing so I thought just maybe I ran it out of gas, So back in the rig and bobtail down and got a Gerry can and some gas put it in and well still nothing.
In a moment of rage I started punching things including the key ....I turned it expecting it not to work and well it started, So I burned rubber to the crappy tire out in the park and since I need fuel I put some in at the gas station there.
I shut it off with the idea that if it does not start up aging I just have to roll down the parking lot back to the shop.....and well that is what I did and once aging it is booked back in.
Now i am not the type to let a shop work on my car cause I have been the one who rebuilt it and swaped motors around with it and all the other stuff I have done was done at home to save money and to learn how to do all that on my own but now I am at the mercey of crappy tire, Monday costed me 260 bux to get it running and now today........well today I don't know yet what it is going to cost.
Now i know my car is not a real looker or anything super inpressive but it is my baby and I got alot of time into it and absolutley love to drive it but days like this which very rarly happen push me to the point of just saying the hell with it and going out and getting somthing that is not broken.....I don't know I just want 2 more months outta it before I move to something diffrent but I am worryed that this may be nearing the end for it cause one problem leads to anouther and anouther and anouther.
Well I feel betterish now so I am going to goto sleep and when I wake up I hope the guys at crappy tire have it going and I Hope it does not cost me much more ether.

Well it being 11am I got a call a few minutes ago aboot me car......and well I just said my own name with my head on my desk......K this is the deal...It is the fuel pump after all not the switch....Now i liked the idea of the switch cause to me alot of the wiring that makes it run go through there and well the car was starting and running after they replaced it and had not given me any problems till today.
So I ask about the switch and why they thought it was the problem.....He tells me they could not get the engine to even turn over and thats why the car was not starting, Thing is they never told me that they could not even get it cranking they just told me that it was why the fuel pump would not engage.
2 minutes before I took the keys into them on monday morning I had it cranking with out a problem just not starting, I told him this and he got kinda pissy with me and so now they want to replace the fuel pump but I just told them to push it out the door and I will replace it myself cause when he said how much more it would cost i only heard $500 something and then white noise filled my head.
So now I have to go there and try to get it going or just get it home and I will do it myself like I would have anyway.
I have never done a fuel pump...this should be fun! So I have learned my lession....I guess I should take some time off for myself and take care of all the little things that have been stacking up over the cold winter cause it was the lack of any time to do it in the first place that has got me here, I have been working to much and to hard and it's time to ramp it down hmmmmm I like that idea.

Fuel pump and ignition switch are both easy jobs. Should have put aside some time to swap them both out and you would have saved yourself a lot of heartache.

Well it is done and my car is back up and running jsut as it should be.
It was a bit of a bitch but I now can have it done in about 2 hours flat and other than getting rusty bolts and them hoses off it is not hard to do at all.
My old ignition switch works jsut fine and i am going to go take it back and tell them I want my money back for the install as well as for the switch cause they never even tested the fuel pump ...I don't think they even turned the key on my car they just tryed to fuck me over...HA I win!

Personally I think the only way you could do worse then taking your car to crappy tire is to take it to that preformance shop thats in china town.. YO!..

I hope you get your money back. They have some stupid no-return policy on electrical parts but in this case its their screwup.
