Does anybody known a good place to get my rims wet sanded and reclear coated? I had gone down to wheel works last fall and one of thier guys told me, 50 bucks a wheel and one week. I went back today and a different guy told me 100 bucks a wheel and two week wait cuz they are busy. He told me the guy I had talk to no longer worked there and he would tell people what ever he wanted. He said the best he could do was 80 bucks a wheel but still two week wait. Now 80 bucks doesn't sound like a lot but it adds up when you talking about all four wheels. The reason I need them wetsanded is last summer I put my car on a trailer and strapped it down thru the spokes. Well I wasn't thinking and the straps rubbed into the polished lip and rub off a bit of the gun metal finish. So what I'm looking for is a place that does good work and who might do it for a bit cheaper and not take two weeks. If you guys know anybody let me know. thanks

I have never gotten any work done by them, but all I ever hear is that they do good work. The only thing is for the work that I need done I don't think it would cost 80 to do the work thats all. I'm no expert but 80 or 100 bucks to spin the wheel around wetsand the wheel for a few minutes to get the groves out and all the lines going in the same direction wouldn't take too long. I can see the clear coat costing because of the set up time and stuff. I just think that 80 is kinda high.

Wheel works did 2 of my stock mags on my old car, I was run off the road and creamed a curb kinda nasty. I dunno they where cheaper than new mags.. the bodyshop had them do it. I couldn't even tell where the hunks where missing from the accident.
