Anyone know what this is - Click HERE for Original Thread

It was in one of my cars that arrived the other day and I haven't a clue what it is. It's a metal of some sort with what looks to be a battery sized piece of metal attached. It was hanging from the signal lever.

its some chinese lucky thing?

want to give it away? :)

BlueTurboEGG
It's some kind of Japanese thing.

I'm guessing the previous owner was very superstitious, it seems a bit more special with the piece of paper in it so it may have some special prayers attached to it?.

The "battery" I would hazard a guess contains something special. If it was a battery, it would have something contacting both sides of it.

Where's Ice when you need him?!

Its a good luck charm, I got one before doing my exams from a friend of mine.

It's not real gold is it???

JDMBoi

MJJ
Thanks for the relplies.
I e-mailed an Asian friend of mine and she confirmed that it is a Japanese driving good luck charm.
No, I doubt it's real gold and sorry, I won't be selling it. :)

Most Shinto and Buddha Temples and Shrines sell blessed charms. Most are just a slip of paper with writing on the inside. I wonder what the battery powers. Dose it light up?

MJJ
It's not a battery, just said it was the size of one. When I hold it just right you can see 2 mirrored images of what looks like a doves (or some type of bird) head and neck on that part.
