Just when you think... - Click HERE for Original Thread

You can trust your family when your gone..

Ok, I leave for vancouver for 4days... Leave my keys in my g/f's bedroom behind her jewelry box and leave my car parked outside her house..

I get home yesterday, and notice there is a chunk of dirt on my bumper.. I think, ok... maybe someone just put some dirt on my car to fuck with me... cause they know how anal I am about how clean I keep my car..

I get in my car.. realize the seat is farther back than I usually keep it and my faceplate is on my stereo... (which I make sure to take off since I live basically on china town)

I kinda shake my head... figuring maybe I left it on, and maybe I got something out of the backseat, explaining why the seat is back.

I go to the carwash and when Im wiping off my rims I notice HUGE FUCKING CURB RASH ON THE RIM!

Ok... now I've been driving my car for about a year now with my new rims, and have been OVER cautious with my parking... because I know how much I spent on my fucking rims..

This makes no sense to me... I dont understand it at all.. I went over my car with a fine comb with about 5 guys the night I put my car in the feild and I would have noticed the gouge in my rim.

Only explanation Is that SOMEBODY drove my car when I was away.. But no one is fessing up... So its a lost cause..

There is my story... and the point of this post is to find out if anyone here knows how much it would cost to get my rim fixed... ballpark...

and where to get it done..

thanks.

(im done my venting)

WOW i would be pissed. It's one thing to ask to barrow a car, but stealing it and running it in to curbs i reaaly really not cool.

Wheel works can fix it i am sure. they are almost always $125.00 to fix wheels. my bro and i have fixed 8 wheels there over the past 2 years and they do good work. We don't hit curbs, just fix whats already been done.

I am sorry you can't trust your family with your car keys for 4 Days.

Blaine at Pro-drag recommended wheelworks to me...

anyone have any feedback on these guys?

superpirate25
Damn dude, that totally sucks. Whoever did it is a pretty big pussy not to fess up.

REFLUX
Wheel Works
It cost me $175/rim to repair some HUUUUUUGE curb rash
spanned 1/2 the circumference of the rim

now the rim looks brand new!

I don't get it. If it was in your girlfriends room why do you think it was your family? Does she live with you and your family and someone else had access to the room?

DC5PWR
Well, Im talking my g/f's family as "family"

Her mom, 2 brothers and his brothers wife, all semi live here..

And it wasnt my g/f becuase I was with her in vancouver.

shorti
so who else knew that the keys were there?

2003specv
Guaranteed it was the brothers. I would put money on it!

Since the driver's seat was moved back, it was someone taller than you driving it. That probably lets the women off the hook, unless they're taller than you, too. Estimate how tall the person was by how much you are too far back from the steering wheel.

What radio station was the stereo left on to? Who in the family listens to that particular station?

That'll probably give you some clues..........

redbaron303
Aaron, wheel works is great..... I recommend them, we had some severe damage on one of our TL rims and they fixed it and it looks new! :D

I had 2 wheels fixed at wheel works, not just curb rash.. but hunks taken out.. I was run off the road and slammed into a curb sides at 50km/h, basically has all new suspension and cross members put on.

I was pricing out new ones, $300 a pop and fixing was cheaper.. well the body shop sent them off to be fixed. and I couldn't tell where the damage was... and I knew where it was(based off the valve stem).

That sucks man if some one drove my car I would be pissed.

Confront the brother you think did it, if he denies it, threaten both of them, and say you'll continue beating them both untill they rat each other out.

There's no way I'd be footing the bill for that one.

SilverZ24
I just had a wheel repaired at Wheelworks and they did a good job overall and I would recommend them. My only problem was it took way longer than they originally told me. Twice I went in when it was supposed to be done and I was told "come back next week". That was annoying. And the lip on my one repaired wheel doesn't quite match the other 3 anymore, but you can't tell unless they are side by side and you look really close.

well being that the seat was back farther would make me think that the brothers are bigger than him hahaha.... either that or someone had sex in his drivers seat hahaha

Or someone short tried to cover their tracks, and slid the seat back too far.

dance_of_curse
you should go up to each of the family members when theyre alone and be like so and so told me you took it and such make them rat each other out...make em turn on each other and make em back stabbers...or just be like i know who did it and then talk to each of the ppl till one confeesse or get some big guy to threaten to break theyre legs:dunno:

both are well over 250lbs.. 1 having spent 4yrs in max security in ontario for armed robbery and putting a police officer into the hospital.

I'm staying away from the threatening idea..

Anywho, I've made up my mind to just drop it and dish out the couple hundred bucks to fix the rim.. seeing how both brothers are unemployed and dont have any money anyways.
