nice :)

DC5PWR
looks like a lot of work, couldnt you have just used a mandrel bend instead of cutting and welding all the pieces together?

BlueTurboEGG
I'm guessing that either he didn't have a mandrel, didn't have the money for a mandrel, or that's Titanium piping...

Nice work man.

RSN CRX
Uh oh OCC better watch out....jk

I used mandrel bends for the left and middle pieces. For the piece on the right my friend wanted the pie-cut look under his hood (the other two go from the intecooler into the engine bay).

Awesome man simply awesome! DIY and it looks PRO.

2003specv
It looks way better now. It's all painted flat black.

Anyway, it's not as cheap as I thought it would be, mostly because of the couplers. $30(x5) each at Mopac. So with the pipe and clamps, it came to almost $250 just for material.

Keith303
doesnt your car come in turbo modle?, what vehicle is the ic piping for?

I wish it did. The piping is for another Nissan. If you've ever seen who I roll with you can probably figure out what it's for.;)

Race him for pinks. He could use a winter beater.

Gary
haha...I wouldn't even race him for $10. I need to see how far I get left behind...that will tell me if I should go single or twin :p

2003specv
Why not ditch the VQ and go SR? LOL.

So you're still planning on going f/i?

Gary
yeah, not this year though...hopefully next summer

I can appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into making a piece like that. But I definately don't see the asthetic appeal of that over a smooth mandrel bend. :dunno:

Doing that just for the LOOK seems silly to me, just more of that "the Japanese are doing it, so it must be cool...". And in this case, we're not talking about titanium.
