Ok ... i have heard that if u hit a jay walker u are at fault... but if you stop for a jay walker and that results in a car accident u are also at fault!? Not to mention it is illegal to stop for a jay walker.....
So basically the jay walker has the right of way no matter when they decide to walk?
Is that ture?! cuz if it is... well lets say things should be changed |

| The goverment makes the laws. And do you remember a time when goverment ever made sense? Making sense involves work, goverment doesn't work. |

I'm going to have to look into this & do a little research. I'm not up on my J-Walking offences. I better start a book with all the questions I'm gonna get answered (you know - good memory just real short)

I've heard if you as a motorist stop for a pedistran at a location that is not an intersection or crosswalk and motion for them to cross, and another motorist hits them, YOU are liable.
If a pedistrian steps out at a similar location (non-intersection, non-crosswalk) without any indication from anyone that they are stopping and you hit them, then you are not liable.
That would have to be confirmed, its just what I've heard in the past. |

i just hate the attitude of some jaywalkers. it should be common sense - if you jaywalk, you better do it when there are no cars around cuz no matter what the law says, if you get hit, you'll probably die. why risk trying to make cars stop for you??
i once drove down a residential street near my house with some kids skateboarding there. they have ramps set up all the time on the street! this kid is standing there in the MIDDLE of the fucking road as i drive towards him, just standing and staring at me as if trying to force me to stop. stupid kid, i put the car in neutral, coasted closer to him, and reved hard and scared the shit out of that dumbass. serves him right.
oh, and playing football on the street?? think again little people!
while we're talking about little runts, sometimes i see kids throwing snowballs at buses or cars. i swear if any kid throws a snowball at me, i'll get out, chase his ass down, make him call his parents, and have them pay for damages! |
