I hate to inform you guys that I may not be having anything to do with any Nissans anymore. This morning just before lunch I was cut off by somejerk (who mustn't have seen me) and ended up by slamming on the brakes. Next thing I know I've mounted a curb and basically written off my car. The 300 really does sleep nice..... :tear: :tear:

I actually can't remember what happened, I don't even know what the other vehicle was, how long I was in the car before somebody stopped, and who the guy that stopped was. This really hurts, I know its slick and I try not to be a jerk driving today, and sure enough something happens. Is it me, or does life suck!? As a plus I'm alive and no one else was hurt. The police for now, are "investigating" and claim that nothing will happen to me, because i did nothing wrong. They said speed and alcohol and all that other BS were not factors, just road conditions and the inconsiderate attitude of the other driver.

Anwayz for now, I'm debating as to whether I want to part out my 300zx or not?! Would the 3.0L Turbo engine fit in an 83 Mazda RX7? Does anyone know if I could do a swap like that? Or would I be better trying to sell off the parts that are still good.

It's one of the worst feelings in the world. You don't know how much pain I am in in so many ways.... No serious injury which is good, but at the same time my baby is finished... It breaks my heart to know theres nothing I can do for her :( I wish I could win a million or two so I could fix her.

Is that engine swap feasible or just plain stupid...? Nissan 300zx turbo 3.0L into an 83 Mazda rx7

I know what you mean man. Sorry to hear about the mishap. Been there, done that, and it sucks. Best of luck to you.

PEACE

IMO the swap is not a good idea.

Get it touch with Reg, perhaps he can help you recoup some money for your car...

Yup... he's my next step. After advertising it as for sale on the net here, I had one guy e-mail me saying he'd buy it.... I have yet to hear back from him, as this was today. I hope that deal goes through, cause then I can start looking again soon... but I'm still sooo sad!

Andy. Reg and Neil won't pay out more than $800 for the car.... stupid me for needign more cash.

Anywayz, they found me a mechanically decent 300zx turbo thatneeds a little body work for not too much money. I need some rust fixed on the front quarters and aroudn the edges of the back quarters.... From what they're telling me it doesn't leak or burn anything and it runs clean... the interior is mint in it but the exterior... could use a "little" work! I think I'm gonna save a few dollars and try to take that from them and use it as a daily driver.... as I now have a full parts car for another 300zx! I guess if the deal goes down, all is not lost and summer can still be fun!

I guess I won't be entirely out of the game.... but by the sounds of it, I don't think i"ll be pushin low 14's any more either.... OH well, it'll just give me an opportunity to learn a little more about my 86 motor and pump that one up a bit.... :)

The paint on the new one isn't that great, but my front quarters should replace those, which is okay, and I have a friend who wants to try painting it... so I think i'll let him... from far away it seems like a dream, but up close "who the hell did the paint?!"

It'll all be good... I guess now I'll have the ultimate sleeper a rusty turbo that still hauls ass :D
