Who was at Bud Park Friday night? - Click HERE for Original Thread

samaroo
So who showed up for the street legals at bud park last night? I saw Andre in that light blue gts-t..and another black gts-t...couple of srt-4's, possibly from this forum? I was in my black 300zx, that was such a fun night. anyways just curious to see who else was from 780

maxpayne126
i was there, in my corolla. i think i raced you once too around 9:30 or so.

purevl
I checked it out for a while, my car isn't finished so I didnt get a chance to race. Seemed like every second car was an srt-4, and what was up with that cop tiburon:blink: that guy needs to learn to drive.

Z31 or Z32? Turbo? What'd you run?

Do I know you btw?

samaroo
z32 turbo...2+2 auto though...best i ran was 15.4, pretty dissappointing but i guess thats about average for my car..next time around i'll have a boost controller so should be able to do quite a bit better

kracka99
What was the fastest time? (import or SRT-4?)

samaroo
Not sure...saw a greenish/yellow 240 that did 13.4... thats the best i saw for an import, but then again i didnt see many of the other driver's times

The Tiburon had almost no clutch left. Realistically they shouldn't have been racing it.

No-Pistons
i ran a 14.1@102mph fuck i drove so shitty yesterday my car and i just wasnt working my first run i didnt the 14.1 i was spinning like a mofo i was spinning in secound gear. but hey it was my first time at the track so i donno what i was going to do. but oh well il ldo better next time.

turbo_dave
I was there spectating. There really was a diverse crowd; sport compacts, muscle cars, and even diesel pick up trucks:)

Quick newbie question, after the cars takes off on green the numbers on the tree, before they cross the 1/4 mile, are the reaction times right? Well i kept seeing times that were 3 or sometimes even 5 seconds. Did thoes drivers get really bad starts or was something wrong with the tree?

louren22
They were crap starts.

Some tracks have it setup where the timing boards will have a .500 up for a perfect light on a competition tree, and some have it setup for for .000 for a perfect light on a competition tree.

night_font
i was there...i spectated only...dam cold and windy weather didnt make it much fun..but i hope to get the supra running good so i can take it there next week

Whats with Tibs and clutches?

SilverZ24
I was there racing. My best time was 14.959 @ 93.31 mph. Although I did pretty bad for most of the night.

That mustard colored 240 was fast though. I raced him twice and both times he was beside me until he shifted into second gear and then it was like he was in a slingshot and just took off. I think he had like a 13.7 and a 13.6 on those two runs. Nice car though.

Pro Drag
I was out there with Jeff (isn't on this board) racing the "Subracing" STI.
Managed a 13.1@102.5. 1.7 60'

One of my customers in his White AWD 1G DSM ran a couple High 12.7's and low 12.8's @ 110 mph. (He beat Kayle (No-Pistons)in his 14.1 pass).
Fun as always. We must have gotten at least 10 runs in between 7-11pm when they shut the staging lanes down.

notaturbotalon
You were there till 11? Must've been hiding from the cold somewhere.

That's without much tuning, I'll probably be back out in June. I think my transmission is gone though. I'm really hoping to get the bike into the 9's this year.
