qualthar
Coool! I hope my car is on the road by then. I wanna come see you race :p Is your car all stock?

Sorry for the OT, that got me excited :D

I think it just has to be a DOT approved helmet, but don't quote me on that.

icydude
yes all stock. So it shall be a sure test of what a GTR can do in stock form.

my-rex
if i have a full out motter cycle hemet i might be a little over kill but it would work right. its all i have

Pro Drag
Wear shoes, not sandals.
Wear at least a t-shirt, no wife beaters
Wear pants, not shorts
Have a battery tie down and a coolant overflow tank, don't be dripping fluids. Tires should be in good shape, no cords showing.
Helmet that is made in the last 7 years should pass, if not they have (had last year anyway) helmets to loan if you give up your ID.
$25 for drivers, $10 for spectators.

No actually, it can't be a bungy cord. The battery tie down needs to be metal and bolted down.

One thing I'm not sure about, what is a driveshaft loop? I've never heard of that before..

icydude
it only a little time you will need one of those dave. just geta boost controler.

Seeing how you say basically any helmet will work in the past 7 years, do you think a ski-do helmet would pass tech?

mine did :dunno: back in 01/02

redbaron303
What is rule 13 under street tech??? What's this driveshaft loop thing?

ChromeDragon
It is a metal loop attached to the underside of your car that runs around the driveshaft. This is required in case you blow apart a U-joint to prevent the car from doing a pole vault. I saw a car do it once, wasn't as funny as you'd imagine.

To further - it's a cheap part, like 30-50 and is GREAT insurance if you're putting down any sort of power in a RWD vehicle.

night_font
does any body know that if you are able to drive on a dealer plate?

Yeah D and M plates are OK. There was an SRT4 with a D plate running all last year :p

This will sound stupid, but how will I know if I have this part or not??? Sounds like it could be a worthy investment if not...

RS13
The hanger Bearing on a silvia or other cars is considered a driveshaft loop. Many cars already have on. Its mainly for cars with a solid rear axle that can't have a hanger bearing because the driveshaft and differential move up and down with the suspension.
