| Hey guys.....just saw a yellow skyline in the university area just off Fox drive that drove into the back of a minivan...anybody know who it was? Looks like he went to change lanes and got caught in the middle of the shoulder check because he only made it half way. Looks like he will need a good portion of a front clip. This brings me to something I was thinking about. With all these JDM cars around....where are you gonna get parts for a fix like that?? Safe to say his summer is toast because it will take months to get a clip for the car for sure. A sad but unfortunate reality I think.:( |

Thats the 2nd skyline this week, maybe those cars just have bad karma and never wanted to come to Canada in the first place? Sad to hear but the owners knew the risks of importing these cars. Parts are hard to come by and the owners knew this. Hopefully the car will get fixed but it will probably be cheaper to import another car then fix it.

I've seen so many they just don't phase me anymore. Everyone and their dog has one now. I saw a bunch of little stoners in one in sherwood park driving like fags. Ah well, I'm sure we'll see alot more coming and alot more crashing.
BTW: Everytime a skyline wrecks, we don't have to post about it... |

| I think that the problem could be that the low prices of these cars are attracting inexperienced drivers to them. Then they aren't able to handle the extra power and driving on the right side of the car and they end up crashing. Of course this is a generality, these people might be just as bad of drivers on the left side of the car as well. |

I think the GTR's are cool, but the GTS's are not. It's like driving a V6 mustang... living in the shadow of it's big brother.
Is there more than one yellow one in town? I heard about a girl driving a realy beat up one, but the one the 4kruzn.com brought in was supposed to be nice. |

That doesn't make any sense. Both have there advantages in different areas. Either way they are an ugly car and they have become so popular it is rediculous, it is one of the most common tuner cars I see on the street now. Even half if the drivers new the potential that the car had it wouldn't be so bad but pretty much everyone that buys them does it for the cool factor. |

Wow it's kinda scary to see all these JDM cars getting hit. I drove my skyline every where and in every situation. It honestly comes down to the driver. A skyline is Not an easy car to drive, for all the reasons listed above in other posts. I drove the skyline all winter with summer hard compound tires and never really had any problems. why because i planned out most trips before i took off and planned the safest way. If drivers put themselves in high risk sistuations problems happen. it's hard to make some left hand turns, Prevention = Pick a way that has easier or safer turns. I got to drive the car fast as well, however i did so smartly. I have no idea what caused both of the skyline accidents this week and will not specuate.
Now to Speck on the GTR VS GTST. I really dont think there is much to say. It came down to I wanted a car i could drive everyday, A GTR is not really that kinda car. yes you can daily drive a GTR but it will cost you. the Power and the RWD are big differances but i was not intresed in driving a race car. It is very easy for everyone to talk down about the GTST but how meny of you have Owned one, Humm not meny. I would buy one agian, meny times over, RWd is fun and the 240+ hp was not bad either. As some of you might have see i am now importing a silvia K'. I could have bought nearly any JDM car, however i chose a silvia. It's not the fastest it's not the best looking and it's not the cheapest. But it is something different. can you say that about your car? whatever JDM car it is, i feel they are all special. CRX Skyline, Silvia, or MR2,Ect.

| This was my gf's car, and to back it up gtst ARE FUN CARS. It's not a special car, it WAS nice with a kit and rims and no the car is not going to be for sale we are gonna pick up a front clip for it. This is her baby and we will repair it. There wasn't much she could do about the accident which is unfortunate. And it would school a v6 stang for the record. I also had a hunch a thread would be made about it. |

ummm....That was the 4kruzn car...and it was the girl who was driving it....and it wasn't beat up. I believe it's the only yellow one in town |

| Parts are not hard to get so far. They are all readily available. I'm in contact with some people all ready, it may get a GTR HOOD!! haha. Oh and i'd prefer a gtst just cause of rwd, plus you can drop about 4g's into it and push 450 easily. now you have an rb20 that will school an rb26 and it only cost you half the price of a gtr:p |

| Well by the looks of it... shouldn't be any frame damage, needs fender, hood, bumper,impact bumper, IC housing. Thats about it. I'll keep it posted on what the cost is on putting it back together |

btw, it was her own fault for rear ending the van. She was prolly speeding, trying to be all cocky n shit(because she's got the "JDM" Skyline), and then switched lanes too fast, and bamm!. I have no sympathy. |

HEY DICKFACE you should read some of my posts before you go blaming her for speeding since she wasn't and the guy infront of her swerved out of the lane cause a van was parked and the suv infront of her didn't notice until he swerved giving her no time to stop. WOW, why does everyone always think it's due to speeding or wreckless driving. It's like a shooting "THIS MUST BE GANG RELATED"
