WTB: accord tranny 5sp F22A1 - Click HERE for Original Thread

sparkycivic
I need to get a transmission that bolts up to the F22A1 that i have. i am not entirely sure what exact cars those came from because i never owned an accord, just got the motor and i am gonna install it into a civic. I heard that transmissions from other cars/engines will bolt up.

on a side note: is there some sort of reference as to what transmission will bolt up to what motor?

stub axles would also be nice to have... im pretty sure that i am gonna have to have axles made, but I can't do that or even know for sure untill i get some axles to play with.
I would really like to start mocking up the car for mounts and wiring, but I gotta get the tranny first... anyone able to help me get one?

hence why im selling mine haha, anyway, good luck finding one. jdm source in calgary can get you a h23 5spd tranny with 60-80k for 300 bucks

sparkycivic
are they cable shifted or rod?

2ndgenlude
cable i believe

mike3
yeah i think all the accords and preludes had cable shifting...especially in the 90's

sparkycivic
that means i get to try my idea for a hydraulic shifter mod.

any specific reason your'e going with that engine? I have a tranny back home in Nova Scotia, but i won't be bringing it up until june/july when i sell my house there. That seems like a lot of custom fabrication for a motor with such low stock output. If you need any help with the swap, i may be able to help you out when it comes to wiring, i've owned 3 accords, and i've done a Sohc Vtec swap into my girlfriends, so i have an idea of some of the wiring headaches you may run into.
