| damn, looks good  (at least they do if those are actual screenshots, not renders) console games seem to get all the hype about graphics, but I'm definitely more of a PC gamer, Half Life 2 really blew me away, just amazing graphics and gameplay, so I'm looking forward to see what game developers come up with next on the PC Side. Battlefield 2 is looking good, I can't wait for it to come out I'm a big fan of the rest of the series. |

The graphics really are almost life-like. But I favor good gameplay over good graphics. Remember back in the good old days when NES was the best system we had. It had horrible graphics but some of the games were so addicting. BUT, a game with both good gameplay and good graphics is the best.
I'll probably buy one of these... |

I really dont like the looks of that controller
the playstation/Ps2 Controller is teh best out there, they shouldnt change it |
|
|

| the only shitty thing is teh controller looks like a boom-o-rang i like the classic ps2 controller...i mean going on strong for around 10 years why change a good thing:dunno: |
|

yeah that controller scares the crap outta me...
it looks very unatural, however, anyone who's used the ps2 analog sticks for long enough know that they are not the best either... and it's only natural since the analog stick were added on later after pressure to fight n64's stick.
maybe it fits better in person, but looking at it now, my fingers just don't bend that way :P |

The controller and the specs for the PS3 are not final. Remember Sony has a year left to improve the PS3. All the videos and game pics released for PS3 were done in just 2 months.
Looks like the next GTA is a PS3 exclusive. Halo 3? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA |

| I'm sure someone will make a ps2 style controller for the ps3. |

| I would also say that the controller is a bit nasty looking...I would have to stick with the good old ps1/ps2 controller. |

what are you talking about?
GTA is non-confirmed for any console. And saying everything was done in 2 months is just dumb, the majority of these games have been in development much longer than that. Tim Sweeney ported the UE3 engine to PS3 in 2 months if that's what you're talking about.
BTW, anandtech just released an article where they ripped both the X360 and PS3 to shreds. Read it and you'll see both systems will be around equal in performance.
http://www.ansonwilson.com/anandreview.htm
Apparently both CPU's, Xenon and CELL are extremely weak, don't believe the hype!! The article was only up for 1 day until "someone" forced them to take it down.
But in the end games will look great so it's a non-issue. This is a great read for anyone who thinks CELL is some amazing processor, or the the X360's 3cored PPE is some powerhouse...think again.
You get what you pay for, both CPU's are cheap, made to be low cost at the expense of developers having to spend much more time rewriting their code. They are not the powerhouses SOny and MS want you to think.
He also gives a great example of exactly why FLOPS is the most meaningless number on earth. (i.e. a P4 has higher flops than an A64, but the A64 is a much better gaming CPU) |

Late to the party aren't you. I posted that after the PS3 conference at E3. They backed tracked later on and said that no GTA was confirmed for PS3. Sony said that developers has dev kits for 2 months, thats why I said that. Then the truth came out. Killzone wasen't in game, it was a computer generated movie of what they want the final game to represent in terms of style and gameplay. They say it was created to PS3 spec though.
