| Why doesn't Nintendo just give up. They're going to go the way of Sega whether they like it or not. Their only hope is handheld systems and even then, they're having trouble going up against the PSP. |

I don't think Nintendo is done yet. They just need to make a better system then the other companies. Every time Nintendo makes a system Sony and Microsoft make something with better graphics, better games, and more capabilities. If Nintendo made a system that could outdo Sony and Microsoft in graphics, gameplay and online capabilities people would jump all over it. Remember the DS before the PSP. If not for PSP DS would be spanking the market right now.
To me it seems like Nintendo is always dragging behind competitors in new features and console capabilities. But remember when NES was the dominant video game force? How about SUPER NES? After that N64 got raped by Playstation One and since then it seems Nintendo has not been able to come back. But maybe this system will I don't know.:dunno: |

| I think the biggest thing that has been holding Nintendo back is they make games mostly for younger kids. I'm not saying stop making those kinds of games but make some for the big boys too. Mario cart was fun when I was younger. I was watching tv and they showed all three new systems and they said the average gamer age was now 29. I didn't believe it but it makes sense. With the price of a new system the only ones dumb enough to spend that much are older guys. Also not doing CD was dumb too for Nintendo. Today if you system doen't do 20 different things it's going to be left behind. |

yah thats true. if you buy the nintendo revolution, you can download old nes games from their online library.
legend of zelda and the adventures of link come to my mind, i've always liked these 2 games, even if it was 8-bit. |

Nintendo has too much money, and besides, they always profit, even when it doesnt look like they are.

I think its a matter or protection, playstation's discs were burnt like crazy but it was much more difficult to copy gc discs. And adding a dvd player is pretty much useless because most people have dvd players already and who wants to purchase another?:dunno: but i guess if you want to spend the extra...
