ok so i drove on some mountain roads over the weekend and it didnt do my car any good obviously... i punctured my flex pipe and now my car sounds like shat... so i need a flex pipe for my car and midas is quoting me 700 bucks for just the pip and almost 900 for the pipe with install i just about shit myself.. someone has to know where i can get a replacement..thanks

92_WhItE_H23
doesn anyone know of any parts preludes??!?

Shady_Pro
wtf thats wrong...a flex pipe is 120 and pipe is worth the shit that comes out of my ass...my exaust instal last year with a new flex pipe was just over 300...

92_WhItE_H23
where then man because ive called EVERYYYWHERE and its all over 700.. every parts list on the web has it for the same price too im so fuckin pissed off

92_WhItE_H23
im not paying that much for a fuckin pipe so if i cant find one cheaper theres gunna be a new parts car out there courtesy of me

would this set up work??? i know its cheap ebay crap but its better then paying 1000 for OEM. i can have it at my house for 200 CAD but this even includes exhaust manifold

Shady_Pro
all that is wrong is u punched a hole in your flex pipe?

92_WhItE_H23
yea...right on top near the hanger.. its about the size of nickel maybe a bit bigger... they said they cant weld it because its kinda rusty... but i just phoned economy muffler and he said he can do it for 110 but he hasnt even looked at it yet so im gunna head there right now and see what he can figure out for me...ill post what happens

Shady_Pro
ya its a flex pipe u cut it out and weld in a new one and i think there around 120 bucks for the peice...i don't see how they go 700 thats like me saying my aem intake is worth 2g's lol:lol:

92_WhItE_H23
mine is a wierd style apparently or something... its 2 pipe instead of one...and its completely different from that of an H22..

ANYWAYS Heres how my experience went..

1) ill never go to midas again.. the 18 yr old kid they had looking at my car had no clue

2) i went to economy muffler and the hole on my flex pipe was just where the bracket welds onto the pipe..so economy just welded it back on... he also found a crack at the end of my exhaust and welded that

at the end of the day my problem was solved for $37.50 and my exhaust is now lower and quieter then it was before i fucked it up

so thanks again midas you can now suck my ballsack..

Which Midas? I only deal with the one in sherwood park and only Steve works on my car, unless it's the beater then anyone can take a crack at it...

BB6SE
Shiza, no more midas for you, haha.

at least it was a cheap problem though man, or else thats no fun for the summer.

Good and bad experiences I guess, the guy that helped me wasn't so young. At least it was 35 bux

92_WhItE_H23
oh yea i didnt mean to be so general... cuz i know some midas do good work...this is the one on 50th street and about 127th ave..

92_WhItE_H23
but anyways now im off to the carwash to redetail the interior from the inch of gravel dust i have in my leather interior =( ill never take my car to the mountains again

mike3
