Anyone going to Vancouver anytime soon? - Click HERE for Original Thread

Xx D-MAN xX
Just thought I'd see if anyone is planning on taking a trip to vancouver in the next little while.

I'm thinking of picking up a set of racing seats but there is no way I can get out there to pick them up till probably the fall. The seller will not ship and I really want the seats.

So, if anyone is planning a trip and would be able to bring back 2 racing seats, please please let me know...

Perhaps i will go down and pick up my trunk when shes done...depends how cheap shipping will be....what kind of seats?

Remember those jdm itr recaros the VPC president was selling. We'll, the guy he sold them to now has them up for sale so I want to jump on these. They are mint mint and come with custom rails/sliders...

So, is gemini now making the 4th gen trunks or are you still waiting for people to get into the GB? I think shipping is stated on their website, which is $129+15% tax.

Any idea when you think your trunk would be done and what is the possibility of you being able to bring back 2 seats plus your trunk?

mike3
they said by the end of june. It better be no later than that or sam is going to have a few problems he'll have to deal with. Im not sure if that'll be too far away from now or if the guy will hold them for you. My dads driving to vancouver this weekend, but i highly doubt the seats will fit in the back of a bmw

End of june wouldn't be a problem. I was thinking I might have time over the july long weekend to drive there but with a week before I leave to fly out to NB for my wedding, I doubt my better half would let me go...

If you do go, what would you be driving? Would you have room for 2 seats? You can't just cram them into the trunk, care needs to be taken to avoid damage...

mike3
haha...dude, i wouldn't cram your seats into anything, id have the taurus fixed my then and put insurance on her for the weekend, or borrow a truck with a canopy, or get a good tarp.

i could just see someone cramming JDM ITR Recaros into a trunk:lol:
im sure noone would do that to your seats darcy. if the guy comes around i could give you a wikked price on shipping.

I wouldn't trust a shipping company with those seats. Too easy to damage them...

my parents ship stuff for a living. more specifically hunting trophies. not only that its only like 2 days to your door from vancouver. they specialize with fragile stuff. if we shipped them we would probably build a crate ,brace it so there was 0% chance of damage. but thats only a option. of course if someone could get them it would be a lot easier.

mike, I think those seats are pretty much mine. So, let me know if you do decide to head to BC in june or else I will have to waste the august long weekend in driving to vancouver...

mike3
Ok, i'll let you know as soon as i find out about the trunk and everything.

mike is that GB still going on for the trunk? if so i might be interested. can you PM me some details?

mike3
yeah the groub buy is still on, find the forum i made before all the details are there...let me know

Tyler, you should get a CF hood before the trunk, just my 2 cents...

agreed, just the group buy price is killer haha.but hoods should be bought before trunks. i'll see how things go. the tranny swap might keep me away from CF for awhile but its hard to pass up a good deal

mike3
Fuck you all! haha

Because the possibility of them getting damaged is very probable since they would most likely exchange hands a few times between vancouver and here. If the delivery person is not super careful, the seats could be ruined.

I think the idea of having them shipped is out of the question. I would rather drive there personally to pick them up so I know for sure they won't get fcuked up.

your a fuckin woman...

92_WhItE_H23
sorry forgot the

Shady_Pro
the women?

mike3
One day you'll be able to afford nice seats Ben, and you can worry about shipping... If they got ripped of anything darcy would more than likley be SOL, and even if the paid for it, he would have to find new mint seats at a good deal.

92_WhItE_H23
theres a difference between affording nice seats and wanting to spend that much money on a pair of seats hah i just bought a house and a big screen tv...my car isnt really my priority anymore its a close second tho... but anyways i was joking... these seats are too rare to be taking the risk of shipping altho more then likely they wouldnt get damaged...

mike3
and im just givin you a hard time too.

92_WhItE_H23
lets fight to the death anyways

mike3
Your going down, rust bucket! haha
