stole my faceplate, had to actually tear the glove box open cuz the thing is so solid, they stole my digital camera, didn't get my stereo but they broke the surround trying, they stole my knife that i keep under the drivers floor mat in case i need it at the junk yards or in an accident and need to cut the seatbelts. so thats only $700 or so if i can't reuse the stereo. bout $500 if i can buy another faceplate for $100 or so from Clarion.
So i stripped all the stereo out, power wires, RCA's, all of it, took the deck out, now i have a open spot that i will fill with a pocket, i took the bent glove box off, will buy another good one if i can, but may leave it off just so fuckin people will look and see that there is nothing there. 2nd time this cars been broken into, 3rd supra break in i've had, 2nd stereo stolen, but last time they got the whole thing.
On the plus side, they didn't take any tools, thank god, their more important to me than the stereo, they didn't break anything other than the above mentioned, they didn't break or steal my sun glasses, i would think they'd have taken the FRS radio but they didn't, they left my insurance and registration, they left my wheel key lock (Thank God).)
this was just off white ave behind Chianti's, behind the Chevy lot at about 6:30? or so, whenever we were there for dinner. probably a drug or money related thing cuz everything taken is easily sold off. |

That is not good for business. That takes alot of guts to bust into someones car in the middle of broad daylight and in a busy area.

| i plan on replacing the faceplate but i won't be putting it back in till i replace the locks, obviously not good enough to stop them, and get a 2-way alarm. then if someone tries they better be able to run really fast. i'm not gonna leave anything in the car that i don't need that day any more. The glove box i staying off for now till i can find another mint one, the hath is empty and will be left uncovered so everyone can see that there is nothing there. |

That sux man, but I have watched people break into cars from my office, mid afternoon. You call the cops but the dude is gone long before they get there.
Thats why my car looks empty all the time. It has been boosted 2 times and entered 2 times in the last 4 years. Keeping in mind that I get about 5000 KM per year in it, thats a really high theft ratio.
It must be all the Supra Sexy-ness they are after! ;)

i hope you can get your ride like it was, there is an 83 celica supra
at pick-n-pull, white with a red/brown interior, may want to check it out. unless u already have.
