hi i'm new to this forum and i'll jus like to know do the 4th gen sr preludes actually have seatbelt indicators??

mike3
What do you mean? Do you mean can it tell if your seatbelt is clicked in or not? I'll assume thats what you mean, there is a small wiring harness that clips into the bottom of the seat that runs to the part that the belt clips into on the seat. Its only on the drivers side, and when the belt is not done up a light shows up on the dash.

bearinalude
yeah that's what i mean, aw bummer, i haven't seen it on my lude before, and i jus read the user manual and found out that there is actually a seatbelt indicator function!!! ahhhhh, any suggestions why it does not display on my dash?? and it doesn't make and warning beeps like it says it does in the manual either =( help plzzzzz

Shady_Pro
i don't see why it matters...maybe check your fuses

bearinalude
well i just thought i should have all the functions in this car, but yeah it doesn't make much of a difference lol, thanks for the help guys

Perhaps someone had your drivers seat out, and forgot to plug the harness in, or a previous owner didn't wear a seatbelt and unplugged it so the light wouldn't come on...might be a very easy fix

bearinalude
hmmm, dat could be it, mike can u tell me where is the harness is located?? i dunno a lot a bout cars, i'm still learning, so i have lots of ???? lol

mike3
its located right under the middle of the seat. Either slide the seat all the way forward or all the way back, and reach your hand under and feel for about 4 wires tied together. When you find it either feel or look to see if its plugged in. If you really want you can unbolt the seat, theres 2 14mm bolts at the front and 2 12mm bolts at the back, then it lifts right out.
