Neptune tuner in Calgary/Edmonton-we need to get the ball rolling! - Click HERE for Original Thread

Ive been checking out the neptune software and it seems like a great alternative to Hondata or Uberdata. I posted on their forum and the owner said he is interested in getting something setup in canada but said there hasnt really been any interest about it yet. Perhaps its because the software is very new but i think it would be a great alternative.

I was wondering if you guys could let me know who tunes honda's around calgary and edmonton so that i can contact them about this system.

Check out some of the neptune features here:

Their message board is here:

Feel free to post any questions/comments/concerns.

I thought id also like to point out to 780tuners that i am not affiliated with Neptune in anyway. Im just a customer who is currently running Uberdata but would be very interested in trying out this software which costs much less then Hondata and has more support and features.

Thanks

Licensing is expensive + training is expensive + not a lot of cars to tune = probably not going to happen. For a shop to tune Neptune it's like a business buying a license to use certain eng programs, you have to pay a yearly fee to keep using them. If you only have a couple cars a year buying the stuff, it's not profitable. Someone like Autologic, Evans, Green, or Titan can afford to license Neptune if they have 5-10 cars a month wanting to use Neptune, but how many turbo Hondas do you think there are in Alberta? Jeff Evans services an area with roughly 20 million people in reach, same with Titan. Autologic has a base of about 10 million, and while the Utah guys have a more modest population base there are lots of hondas being built in an around their area. Atleast a half a dozen 600+ WHP street hondas from SLC that are widely known on the web, and probably a handful more not advertised. Alberta is right around 3 million total, lots of farmers, and not a lot of widespread knowledge about fast turbo hondas at this time. I'd love to see Neptune here as well when/if I ever get a turbo honda kickin, but for the time being I don't see it as being sustainable.

can you go to superstore and safeway and places like that and also offer them to bring back fruity pebbles..cause shit man they were good.

tokes
Yeah, only thing is when Fruity pebbles or Coco pebbles were around in my house I'd eat so many of em the roof of my mouth would get cut up :(

tokes,

You seem to know more about the costs involved to run neptune. I couldnt even seem to find a set price on it, it seems to be hush hush between the tuners and the creator. I realize there isnt much for turbo honda's around here but i still dare to dream lol

Just an update. Hondata S300. It's like Neptune but user tuneable. MSRP of 600 USD. Neptune should be releasing the user tunable program before the fall.

http://www.hondata.com/s300.html

One of the big things about S200 is it has ACT correction. With S200 if you get your car tuned on a 20 degree day it's going to run like shit on a -10 degree day, and run like shit on a 40 degree day. That paired up with gear based fuel/ignition controls, boost control, a two-step, etc, etc. Best of all no more burning chips, you just plug in the USB cable and go.

Lococoin
thats awesome. Looks like almost a better deal then the s200 is right now considering you have to buy the boost option etc etc.

Im running uberdata right now but its buggy as most free programs are and will probably switch next year sometime.

thanks for the heads up tokes
