I got my new Windshield todday at Crystal glass. They've been in business for a long time, and i've got the rear window installed there. so far so good...until today. It was some young kid installing the windshield...some slack kid(the kind that drags his feet when we walks around and walks damn slow, and looks like he hates his job) anyways they tell me to leave and they'll call me when its done. Im the kind of guy that does everything i can on my car, and like to see what people are doing when im not working on it...making sure there taking care of it, and not cutting any corners. I come back after 2 hours and he has some cheap thin fender cover on my roof with ratchets and my wipers and other tooks on it! I mentioned it without being too rude because hes still working on my car, and he pretty much gives me the look that says F*ck off, and he leaves it there. I finally pay and take my baby home, to pick up something to eat before work. I get out and take the tape off the windshield holding it to the body?( i dunno why the hell its there) and i noticed this:
-Scratches all around the windshiels from removal
-Scratches on roof from tools
-Excess silicone around windshield
-Silicone on the front bumper!!!(that dried rock hard, and i don't know how its coming off)
-Plastic peice on top of firewall stained brown in patches and cracked in half!!!!
-Front quarter chipped close to windshield from removal or installation.
-Window trip hanging over not installed properly
-2 CHips in my door that I KNOW weren't there
- Scratches on fender from not using fender covers!
-Silicone on paint right above drivers door
-Something on my bumper infront of other headlight that looks like it ate through the paint.
- one bigger scratch on hood
This is my rant, i take very good care of my car, i know every mark on it and this is what i get! I went straight back before work, and the faggot kid said he didn't do it and the excess silicone will ware off eventually. WTF is wrong with him. This is my rant cuase im super pissed, and they told me to come see the manager in the morning. Not sure what there going to do, but it better be something that will make me happy or they will be sorry. sorry for the long read. |

That's definitely one of my greatest fears when getting work done on my car. Maybe you can get a refund on the labor and put that towards buffing out the scratches and fixing up the paint. |

| that happened to me, but at windshield surgeons(34ave), and it was on my quarter glass. i dunno what they used to replace the window, but somehow they made a cut mark on the inside of the door frame.. :dunno: its a pissoff, but no one can see it unless they look for it... which crystal glass did you go to? |

I went to Alberta Honda to replace my hood release cable. The car came back to me with noticeable scratches all along the driver's side fender. Biggest piss off is getting something fixed, and getting your vehicle back in worse shape.
Plus, I hate the lazy kids. Especially the ones at Tire Warehouse (another occassion)

| mike3, take your complaint up with the manager. Dealing with the young tech isn't going to get you anywhere. Stay calm, but be firm about the fact that your car was damaged when they worked on it and that you expect them to repair it. |

| Its the crystal glass in st albert. Its more than likly just bad luck getting this kid working on my car. i've had great work done there before. they said to talk to the manager at 8:00 this morning, so i went there his excuse was "theres already swirl marks and dents in your car anyways" i stayed as calm as i could for the situation, and he had some dumb excuse for everything like "thats not from us"(Eg: the crap on the front bumper) we went inside and his exact works were "Well i don't anything will happen, but i'll call the district manger sometime" so i said if i don't here back from your by this afternoon first thing monday morning im going to trouble shooters for global, and cfrn. he looked pretty worried, and said he'll get back to me, so we'll see what happens. |

| just an update. I've been dealing with the district manager. They were being asses so now i want me car to get fixed at a body shop(paint bumper with shit all over it) repalce plastic cowl, fix chip in fender, and power polish. They want me to go to some shitty place that will somehow paint random spots where there are chips and one very big chip. and everytime i deal with someone at crystal, they tell me how my car isn't that nice. The guy said today "Don't take offense to this, but your car isn't very good. Theres scratches everywhere, chips, dents and its been in accidents as anyone can tell." Well my car has never been in any minor or major accidents. this guy is a cock head. so my opinion is still. Never deal with Crystal glass with a car you care about. I thought it was just St.Albert at first, but now this guy is being a jackass. You wrecked my fuckin car, now fix it! |

| Ok so i met up with some guy from chip masters. Crystal set up the appointment because they want him to fix it. The guy says he can fix the drop of whatever on the front bumper by sanding it then painting the one spot. im not sure, but with 12 year old paint im not sure how good this will look.(2 spots on front bumper) thren he said he can fix the chip in the fender and paint only scratches on roof. maybe it will work but i can only imagine this making my car look like shit. then for the power polish crystal said they would do, the guy says, i'll power polish the one spot on your hood and a spot on each fender where they may have made scratches? WTF power polish the whole friggen car so it doesn't look shitty. Then i ask out of curriosity how much this will all cost, and he says its not of your business. Then i started getting a little pissy with him. he says this will take 2 or 3 days to do. his shop is out of gibbons...sounds like in the middle of no where, and he wants me to leave my car with him for a few days? HOw the fuck am i supposed to get around to work and stuff, never mind go pick up the car after, there no way this cocksucker would ever drive it. Plus there no way for me to tell if they go rippin in it or anything. |

| That's bullshit! Take it to where you want to take it not where Crystal Glass wants you to take it. Get 2-3 quotes and let them choose which one. If they give you any more hassle, tell them you are going to A channel trouble shooters and you will taking a detour to small claims court... |

| Well When i went to Norther Collision to get a quote for all the scrathes crystal put on, Brad went out of his way to help me out. It wasn't working great with crystal glass, they wanted chip masters to power polish parts of the car and fix a few scratches. When i told Brad this, he went out of his way to call this guy from Crystal, and finally got Crystal glass to aggree to send my car to Northern. Everything is working out better than i expected, and my car is going to Ming for a power polish then straight over to Northern for all the work at the start of july.
