I'm quite sure there will be some knobs comparing cars from totally different classes at the end of summer.

Common Roger, even you can be guilty of that from time to time....

That built engine is to compensate for the lack of 2 cylinders and 1L of dis.

Mike don't you find it funny when people say size doesn't matter when you have boost?
Don't they realize its not the boost its the CFM that makes power.
25 PSI through a 2.0L - 4 is still 33% less Air+Fuel than 25 PSI through a 3.0L-6 if volumetric effeciency is the same per cylinder.
I tell ya wouldn't it be awesome if all you had to do was add an atmosphere or two ?

Like I said before its to late to change what I built.
It's a full weight , full Street Radial tire class car do to me wanting similar performance all the time instead of just the track.

Don't worry though I'm quite sure there will be some knobs comparing cars from totally different classes at the end of summer.

Hey if your able to get your cars weight back up and run those killer 10.5" Sportman pro's I'll welcome you in to the Street Class for a dual.

 [/QUOTE]
Perfect, I guess i am going to have to take up on your challenge.
Shit guess thats gonna have to be another set of rim and tires.

I havent stripped my car yet , its still at 3500lbs and 1 power adders only (for the time)

got a photo shoot with MODIFIED mag, I got lucky and will be their next cover car.

If your engine built is for the lcak of 2 pistons and 1l of displacement, what about the AWD and 300-500lbs more weight i have to deal with.

No excuses, I will race you in your class next year with full weight,BFG Drag radials and only 1 power adders just to make the class more interesting.

Damn nI am so excited already...
see you this summer

On a side note, Their was a 90's white talon that ran 11.7 in calgary about 4-5 years ago, do any of you talon guys know about him.

Loose
Wasn't that Talon owned by a dentist or something? I hear it's still around, but is on hold, probably forever.

Where is Fat Bastard? What do you think about that green 550hp 2G Talon. If he goes to the track, everyone is dead!

That time when we gang banged that old Camaro with the big motor and big rear tires. We were at EL Smith.

Even I beat him, on my blown motor. That thing had to be a 15.0 car. After I beat him, and I think Paul beat him, you asked for a funzies race saying it would be close. NOT. Oh well, that was worth a good laugh.

So here's an oddball; does anyone know the IDRC rules regarding the All-Motor classes? I'm just curious.

:gay: Karl

Yeah, what do you want to know?
Rotor's are allowed!
Anything else?

I'm just wondering what tires are allowed, weights, etc. That's all. I figure I may have a chance as long as no NSXs or M3s show up!

I think it's pretty much for unibody all motor cars. Check the rule book for more info.

Your car is legal, and so are the Fastracks cars. V8's are legal in this class, suprisingly, but then again so are 4 rotors.

Reminder: These are IDRC rules, which are not necessarily going to be used.

fatbastard
Karl, your wagon belongs in the dumpster :-) Only REAL men race Colts :-)

I think the classes are ging to work out fine. If we are going to follow a set of rules, we may as well take to some of the ones down south. Making up our own rules is counterproductive, I feel.

:o You FAT BASTARD!!!! Why don't you go spin one of your 155/80/13s through 4th!!!! Can I get a Colt badge for my wagon??? The rules sound okay to me..... except for the fact that NSXs, M#s, Porches, V8s and the like are allowed in the class. Guess I'll have to rethink building that new motor for a nice hit of Nitrous! Thanks for the info Guys!!! :D

I guess you're right Roger! You'd need to have OHC to run in the IDRC wouldn't you??? So unless someone brings out some crazy Lexus LS430, GS430, BMW M5, or Infiniti Q45 or something it would be okay  ......... Till that damn dirty M3 or NSX showed up! Oh well, guess Big $$$$ win in the end again!

That is hardly comparing time slip to time slip from different classes. You are grasping at straw's, I have never done it.
