Racemaster Automotive - Click HERE for Original Thread

IDTrav
After 8 months of waiting and tracking down parts I finally have myself a motor. We're gonna slap it in today then hopefully have it out to St. Albert next weekend to get it running & tuned.

-Topline complete rebuild kit
-Colt tri-flow cam
-Dual Weber DCOE 45's
-Bored to 2.0L
-Full competition headwork (4 stage P&P + 6 angle valve job)
-S&S 4-1 header (Ceramic coated by Perfection Powdercoating)
-Toga upgraded race bearings
-ARP Rod bolts
-Toga hi-flow oil pump
-Centerforce dual friction clutch
-Countless OEM replacement parts

Originally I was going to have Cambell automotive do my shit but then found out about Racemaster and the work they do. Rod insured me of his knowledge with cars and how if it runs on gas he can make it go faster - has done over 20,000 rebuilds in his time and is one of a few guys left in the city that can tune Weber carbs.

Id suggest anyone looking to get some serious power out of a rebuild to go talk to him. He is a perfectionist so when building his motors he takes the time to make sure every moving piece is given attention. He took interest in our old hondas to see what kind of power he could get out of them and realizes the market shifting more to the sport compact scene.

whats kind of motor is that? honda 1.8?

IDTrav
used to be a 1.8...had the shop bore it out to 82.7mm which now fits the 2.0L pistons.

Very nice you should have started with the a20 block and went from there, but either way very nice.

thanks elijah...coulda-woulda-shoulda  There were a few things i would have done differently going back and thats why it has taken this long. For the price it cost me to get it bored out i couldve gotten a burner from the wrecker for 1/2 the price. But i wanted to keep the original motor and the intake manifold fits the ET2 head not the A20 head. Should be interesting to see how all our shit does this year at the track.... im counting on the carbs to give you and Shady's F/I motors an ass-kicking

How did those diamond pistons work out for you?
