Anyone know where to get HKS products for a really good price?

Looking for NISSAN 300ZX 1990-1995 3.0 Turbo Exhaust System.

so far i'am looking at 1,300 with tax and shipping.

You pay alot for that name, a "really good price" is going to be hard to find. EBay would be best bet.

ok thanks, maybe some of our sponsors have a good deal for me?

I seem to remember you saying you worked at a dealership, so go to your parts dept. and see if they can get you aftermarket stuff, mine has told me they can so thats going to be by far the least expensive way of getting it if you do want HKS. you can save a lot of money by just getting a custom exhaust job done locally though..

Yeah Dave I agree with you, but they told me as for performance parts only Cobb and Perrin parts are the only thing they can get deals on. (they only make parts for Subaru cars) If i made a custom catback here in town, would it make the same gains in HP as the HKS product? and what about quality? where would one get an exhaust made?

CanuckDave
well for gains that really depends what type you get, whether its a mandrel bent (the best type) or crush bent (avoid it if at all possible, or if you can't get mandrel than get a larger diameter to make up for the crush bends.) and also depends on the diameter of the exhaust and what type of muffler(s) you use. I'm not really sure what good exhaust shops are around here, does anybody know of any shops that can actually do mandrel bent exhausts in edmonton?

DSM
An exhaust is an exhaust not much to them. If you go with the same size piping and use mandrel bends you wont be able to tell any difference in preformance.

The HKS Turbo exhaust is nice. A buddy of mine in Calgary has it. Its not too loud.

HKS stuff is not cheap through Canadian distributors. You may want to price out from some US vendors to compare. You may find even with shipping, duty, exch, you may still come out ahead by purchasing south of the border.

Custom piping is one thing, the muffler is another. If you have a custom made exhaust with an HKS muffler it should sound very similar if not better than the complete HKS exhaust kit. If you go the eBay route watch it, its even difficult to find an authentic HKS air filter on there. (eg. HKS STYLE AIR FILTER).
