My best friend is up 1800km at the jehrico mines diamond mining for the summer and me and him got the great idea next year at this time to go and buy 2 beater cars and take em to his brother in laws acreage and um play smash the shit out of em up there

is there any thing um say illegal about doing that like just off roading for the day up there on his brother in laws property.

and when i mean beater i mean 100-500 dollar investment

just wondering.

jihad
Haha that'd be an incredibly fun time. Donno if its illegal or what not though

Shouldn't be against the law as long as it takes place on private property and doesn't impact the environment.

If you plan to only drive them on your property. then you should need insurance, plates or have them registered...

Check with your insurance company because if someone was injured or killed, could be bad news for one of you...

Altezza
Yeah i would ask the insurance company if there is any problems in doing this if there isnt hehe  then have fun!

Cobra_R
i am going to get a helmet and take the beater off of a jump
theres a huge compacted dirt mound on there property 2

Flex
If its private property you dont need any insurance or registration to drive them. The only thing is if someone gets hurt then no one is covered. If you have PL/PD and you hurt someone then theres money there for them.

Wearing a helmet would be a good idea.........get a kidney belt and a neck collar as well.........:D

Even though it's on private property could the police still charge them since they are obviously endangering each other?

Supra_devil
its consentual??(is that spelt right?) they can't charge you.

Keep a fire extinguisher close to the driver in each car. Flipping and burning to death would suck.

Cobra_R
burning :(

thats cool and gay at the same time

Myabe do a bit of modding. Like on a demolition derby car. Remove the fuel tank, you only carry a small amount in a sealed tank. Also maybe relocate the battery. Usually a solid metal box with a cover. Sounds like fun but it would suck to lite on fire with a full tank. Even though its on private property there are environmental laws.

Buddyworm
My friend, his brother and I did that last summer. The beater truck we were using stalled out and died when you turned it left past a certain point  We've been thinking of playing paintball tag with them this summer.

sounds like fun... brings back memories of the rental car scene in Days of Thunder :)

To answer your question I guess...I would, hah...that would be so much fun and out in the open and playing tag or sumtin..lol..the legal part you should be fine, besides what are the chances of rcmp coming to that exact location and seeing you do this?

DomesticDrifter
Two words... HANS Device!

If your going to crash these cars head on you don't need Basial Skull fractures!!!
