I bought a Canon Powershot S200, 2.0 megapixel camera! It's so sweet....

My biggest beef though is when I put the pictures on my computer they're so large lik3e 500+kb. Iuse the 1600x1200(top) resolution and the medium compression or whatever it's called.....

What I want to do it get really nice resolution pictures but I want them to be smaller... not like a whole screen when they open?!

Can anyone help me with this or give me an idea of how to make the file smaller when I download them to my computer?

You can set your reslution lower, like 1024x780, that's a good size to view, or 640x480 if you want to use on the internet.

If you already have the pictures, then you can use a image resizing program to resize the images, i would suggest something with a batch process so you can do all the pictures at once. I use ACDsee and it's very good. You can download a trial version on their site. I think it's just www.acdsee.com

Very nice choice.

I have mastered that camera and most of the pics on my site are from my S200.

I am now in the Canon G3 Realm.

I bought it partiallyon your recomendation from beyond.ca Benny. I like the images on your site. Then I found a good deal on one so I picked it up. A friend has the s230 (model #?) the 3.0 megapixel version and I figured the s200 was good enough for my needs. I'll try and download that program, it's just a little bit crappy that I can only send two pix to a hotmail.com account because they're so big!

Thanks for your help~
