| It is very easy to do. First thing is you have to drain the tranny there is a 3/8 ratch bolt on the low part of tranny you have to undo to drain, and then pop CV's out of the tranny and then undo the center support and then all of the linkage and then you also have to remove speedo cable and clutch cable. And then the starter and then you undo do the tranny bolts and then wiggle it off of the pins. And if you want (se-i) said you might be needing help. If so email me a number or private message me. |

well, im very broke right now:( but i start work on monday, but i get paid next week. my friend said that he would help me take it off it i need help. the problem is how many times do i have to go back there just because i forgot to get a few parts.
in order to pop out the axles i know i have to get at the nut thats holding it in near the steering knucle which i believe is a 32mm bolt, that is the only thing im worried about cause im not sure my beginners tool set can handle the torque required top remove it |

heh, well, id think the hardest part of removing the transmission isnt actually removing the nuts, i think its separating the transmission from the engine. although they do require somewhere around 100lb+ of torque to remove
as i have removed an engine from a pontiac at school i remember these pins on the side that line the engine up with the transmission, separating those pins from the engine seemed to be the hardest part because i was a noob back when i did it. after removing the engine which i probably wouldnt be able to do in the junk yard the transmission was a cake to get at, but then again this was GM and the transmission was automatic |
